1929 FORD MODEL....SPORTS COUPE.....RUMBLE SEAT....AAOOGHA HORN
1929 Ford Model A Description
WHAT IS A SPORTS COUPE? Its a coupe with a canvas top that looks a lot like a convertible.
HEAD LIGHTS WORK! TAIL LIGHTS WORK! COWL LIGHTS WORK!BRAKE LIGHTS WORK! TURN SIGNALS ADDED AND WORK!SPEEDOMETER WORKS! GAS GAUGE WORKS!
CONVERTED TO 12 VOLT SYSTEM: This makes it start better, lights are much better. A modern alternator added, that is tremendously better.
WHAT IS THE HISTORY? All I can tell you is that we bought the car from a man here in the hills of Tennessee. We did not restore the car, it was done before we got it. The title is Tennessee and previous state of registration Tennessee.
ANY RUST PROBLEMS? No holes in the floors, they are painted slick, I do see minor rust color, but no problems.
HOW DOES IT RUN? The flathead 4 cylinder runs great in my opinion. It starts good, I see no bad oil leaks and no blue smoke.
HOW IS THE TRANSMISSION? Good, it shifts good and does not jump out of gear. These transmissions are not syconized like modern ones.
HOW ARE THE BRAKES? They are mechanical brakes, so you have to put some foot into them.
HOW DOES IT DRIVE? No power steering, you have to put some effort into steering.
HOW IS THE PAINT? No dents, no dings and the shine is good. Some touched up chips and minor flaws if you look for the. Nice paint, I consider it upper end driver.
HOW IS THE INTERIOR? Good interior with no wear.
HOW IS THE GLASS? Good glass, no milky spots or chips. The drivers door glass has a small crack in the front lower corner.
HOW IS THE CHROME? It all shines good, bumpers very nice, door handles nice, head lights and radiator shell shine nice, but have fine pits.
HOW IS THE TOP? No holes and it is still soft, it has some fuzzy place on the back near the top.
WHERE IS THE CAR LOCATED? Athens, Tennessee 37303.
