LS V8 Auto Classic Vintage Collector C500 COE Custom Black A/C Receipts Upgraded
1955 Ford Other Pickups Description
This 1955 Ford Cabover is a full custom restoration that has a super-slick presentation, leather-lined A/C interior, and fuel-injected LS V8 power. So this sleek machine doesn't even need to haul a show-winner because it earns awards all on its own.
This custom COE (cab over engine) build literally tops most other classics out there as it towers over them. You're going to see this one coming from blocks away. But really take some time to get up close and see the full quality of this highly-detailed build. That sinister black on the cab has a deep shine. And speaking of the cab, they really understood how to blend vintage and new styles. You see it up front with the classic extra-tall hood and pod-style headlights that give this a nice classic appearance. But the pointed grille and bumper remind you there is a freight train worth of size and muscle in this one. And it's amazing they were able to modify the curvy Ford fenders to fit the huge American Force 22-inch forged aluminum wheels. Style and substance are mixed everywhere you look. For example, the black fabric on the cab's roof has a similar appearance to the texture liner paint in the bed. The bed sides have a step-down look, and the tailgate tapers inward. So the profile compares to a semi, but with a lot more style. And speaking of industrial grade, this is based off of a shortened one-ton Chevy dually frame, and so it's beefy.
The interior is a full-custom setup. The tan leather seats look timeless with the black inserts, and the door panels and center console were done to match. It has the right luxuries like power windows and cold-blowing air conditioning. You slip behind a wood-rimmed steering wheel mounted on a tilt column, and this gives you a clear view to the Dakota Digital VHX gauges. So this big truck makes it easy to get comfortable. But just to let everyone know this is truly industry-grade, there's also a train-style air horn.
As the COE name suggests, the motor sits under the cab, which contributes to the commanding height and added capabilities. In fact, this one really is still ready to go to work thanks to an upgrade in the engine compartment. This classic heavy duty machine is now running a fuel-injected 6.0-liter LS motor. All the belts, wires, and hoses look properly maintained in the ultra-clean engine bay, and there's even an electric fan on the bright aluminum radiator. So this was built to get to work. And unlike how this came in 1955, you have the added comfort of a power steering, power brakes w/discs up front, and a versatile six-speed automatic transmission.
