1972 Ford LTD Description
We love classic cars, who doesn't, but most of them are so over priced!! Well here is one that not only can you afford, because you set the price, but this is one that you can start up and drive anytime you want! We have gone through this entire car and upgraded or replaced anything that it could or would need anytime soon. NO RESERVE AUCTION ..... don't pass this one by!!!!
Up for sale is SUPER CLEAN 1972 Ford LTD Convertible with a big block 400M modified engine. This was the highest compression ratio engine to ever come off the Ford lineup, and when you drive it you can feel it. The car runs and drive down the road at 80 mph (or more) with no issues and has plenty of power. The front end is very tight for an older car and feels very responsive while your driving. The convertible top goes up and down with no issues and has the cover boot attached to the back seat ready to snap over and enjoy the day driving with the top down. All the windows go up and down as they should. It still has the original radio in the dash for the genuine look and it works but not the best quality from 48 years ago. The heat works great when its cold outside. We have all the original motor parts (if you want them) to change it back if you prefer ie...air filter, intake, carb, cam, lifters, distributor, and coil. In the trunk is the original spare tire and jack. We like to buy and fix up classics that are affordable for anyone to love and enjoy. All of the update listed were done within the past year and the car has only been driven about 800 miles, still has summit high zinc breaking in oil in the motor.
New: RV CAM and Lifters, High Performance Intake, HEI Performance Distributor Vacuum Advanc, Holley Performance Carb 600CFM Electric Choke, Performance Oversized Wires, Motorcraft copper plugs, Heater Core, Front Shocks, Rear Air Adjustable Shocks, Water Pump, Alternator, Voltage Regulator, Starter, Starter Solenoid, Belts, Hoses, Heater Valve, Power Steering Hoses, Vacuum Hoses, trunk rubber gasket, Aftermarket Gauges mounted under dash, Stainless Steel Exhaust System with two new flow masters, and Brand New Raised White Letter Tires.
The car shows very little wear, but with all old cars you have to expect something. There is a very small spot on a seam the driver side of the front seat that has come apart but it's hard to see. All the windows work from the driver master window switch only. This window passenger lockout feature is only available on much newer cars so it is well before its time!! The entire car was undercoated a long time ago. The paint is still in fantastic shape from a previous restoration. You might find a rock chip here or there and small bubble under the paint if you look hard enough, but there is nothing really worth talking about. The car won First Place in the local Classic Auto Show. Underneath you will only see normal surface rust under the car as the car has never been up North where rust is an issue. The top works great and there are no leaks. We put a new gasket on the trunk and now it has a tight seal. We cleaned up the trunk and now it looks great!
