1931 1/2 model AA FORD 1 1/2 TON DUAL WHEEL EXPRESS PICKUP WITH FACTORY REAR FENDERS-- 131 1/2 INCH WHEELBASE------ ONLY MADE THE LAST HALF OF 1931-------------------------------------------------THIS IS ONE OF THOSE PROJECTS THAT GETS PASSED FROM ONE PERSON TO ANOTHER AND NEVER GETS FINISHED----ALL I CAN TELL YOU IS WHAT I WAS TOLD AND WHAT I CAN SEE AND VERIFY MYSELF-- 7 NEW LUCAS 6.00 X 20 TIRES ON FRESH PAINTED WHEELS----GOOD WOOD IN TOP FRONT HEADER IS WEATHERED BUT SOLID, OTHER WOOD IS EXCELLENT--------------I DONT HAVE ROOM TO SHOW ALL PARTS, BUT LOOKS LIKE EVERY PIECE OF RUBBER AND EVERY BOLT, NUT AND BRACKET-SPRING ETC. IS THERE----THERE ARE MORE PARTS THAN I CAN SHOW----------------------CHASSIS---FRAME---FRONT AND REAR ENDS---BRAKES---EVERYTHING UNDERNEATH APPEARS TO BE REBUILT AND PAINTED---BRAKES HAVE ABOUT A QUARTER INCH PEDAL TRAVEL BEFORE THEY ENGAGE-ENGINE APPEARS TO HAVE BEEN REBUILT AND NEVER STARTED---IT WAS PAINTED AND THEN ASSEMBLED----GASKETS ARE NOT PAINTED---PAINT IS NOT BURNED OFF EXHAUST MANIFOLD AND EXHAUST PIPE----TURNS EASY AND HAS GOOD COMPRESSION----IT IS AA ENGINE---------RARE REAR FENDERS ARE ORIGINAL AND IN EXCELLENT CONDITION------------------------------------------------RUNNING BOARDS ARE NOS-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------FRONT FENDERS LOOK ORIGINAL TO TRUCK AND ARE IN GOOD CONDITION WITH A FEW LITTLE DINGS FILLED WITH THE VERY OLD BLACK FILLER---------------------GRILL SHELL IS GOOD WITH CRACK IN FORD EMBLEM PORCELIN-----GAS TANK LOOKS TO HAVE BEEN CHEMICALLY CLEANED ----WINDOWS ROLL UP AND DOWN--ALL GLASS IN PLACE----------------------------------FORD DESCRIBED THE BED ON THESE TRUCKS AS WOOD CLAD IN METAL-----METAL IS GOOD WITH NO RUST THROUGH-----THE SKIM OF FILLER IS JUST TO FILL RUST PITS---YOU CAN SEE INSIDE AND THERE IS NO RUST THROUGH OR DENTS-----THERE ARE 10 PIECES OF CHERRY WOOD FOR LINING AND REINFORCING THE BED -------------THE WINGS THAT ANGLE UP FROM THE BED ARE IN POOR SHAPE-----COULD BE WORKED OR BEND UP NEW ONES WITH METAL BREAK CHERRY WOOD THAT GOES ON TOP IS INCLUDED AND ANGLE IS CUT------------NEW METAL STRIPS IN BED-----4 INCH COWL PATCHES INSTALLED-----GOOD TITLE---MATCHES BRIGGS BODY NUMBER TAG----I KNOW I WILL HAVE A DOZEN PEOPLE TELLING ME ALL MODEL A,s WERE IDENTIFIED BY ENGINE NUMBERS----THAT IS HOW FORD DID IT BUT EACH STATE TITLED CARS BY BODY NUMBER----ENGINE NUMBER----SERIAL NUMBER---VIN NUMBER ETC. ----- VIN WAS GOVERNMENT MANDATED IN 1957, BUT DID NOT BECOME NATION WIDE TILL 1968---------NO WINDSHIELD HINGE, GAS GAUGE, TAIL GATE, OR EXTERIOR DOOR HANDLES----I COULD BE WRONG ON SOME OF THE SMALLER PARTS------THERE ARE SO MANY------MORE THAN I COULD SHOW--------THIS IS A VERY RARE TRUCK----WILL ANSWER ALL QUESTIONS IF I CAN-------------------THANKS number on tag is 524702-----what you see is what you get + many more parts---THESE TRUCKS WERE BUILT IN U.S.----CANADA----EUROPE----and RUSSIA by BUDD---MURRY----BRIGGS and another company i cant recall--- - I AM NOT EXPERT ENOUGH TO KNOW THE SMALL DIFFERENCES BETWEEN THE DIFFERENT MANUFACTURES AND THE LOCATIONS THEY WERE BUILT IN----I JUST KNOW I HAVE OWNED OVER 50 MODEL A s AND I HAVE NEVER SEEN ONE BEFORE
