1986 Ford Mustang GT Convertible 5.0 V8 with AOD transmission.
This beautiful 3 owner 86 Mustang has been ordered new in January1986 by the first owner who documented every service since 1900 miles to 90k miles when he sold it to the second owner in January 2012. The second owner drove the vehicle about 5k miles since then. It was driven less than 300 miles a year, mainly to local car shows and to services. It was always garage kept under a car cover. The first owner was in the Air Force and when he was stationed in IA, the titling of the vehicle had a hiccup, looks to me a typo on the mileage, hence the issue shown in Auto Check, had to get a duplicate title.
I purchased the vehicle in 2020 and haven't driven it much, just on weekends and in nice weather.This is a 34yr old vehicle so there are some small imperfections as expected. They are:- small surface rust under driver door- both driver and passenger door to window moldings are cracked and should be replaced soon- few small rock chips here and there- the trunk lid and spoiler is not original (Original with luggage rack will be included in the sale)- the radio has the common crackling when adjusting the volume, it all works though.
The paint is 8/10The top is 9/10 Its the originalThe interior is spotless, no rips on the seatsThe dash and the dash pads are in amazing shape, no cracksAll the gauges workThe 10 hole wheels are in great shape, 9/32 on all tiresPower locks/windows/brakesFord premium sound with ampAC is ice cold and heat works greatincludes the Original fog light covers and few original parts in a bin
New rear drums and new E-brake cables along other items few hundred miles ago, costing over a grand.Power steering flush done recently also.
