1966 Ford Mustang PONY Description

Welcome to my EBAY - I have an excellent example of a 1966 Ford Mustang with a Pony interior for sale.I will begin with the exterior of the vehicle of which I believe was painted some time ago and really shows well since I had the complete car buffed and detailed. There is a certain amount of touch ups that were needed around the door areas etc. of which I took care of. There is also some corrosion areas on the vehicle which shows slightly on the shiny pieces and if you have a look at the underneath pictures there is also some corrosion but no rust. The floors are solid and so are the frame rails. And no rust in the rear quarter panels. The interior was completely redone which includes the seat covers, carpet and headliner, the sun visors plus new front and rear windshield rubber seals. The door panels all look original. What's new and recently replaced - The scuff plates - the dash pad - the dash bezel - the steering wheel and collar - the gearshift bezel & handle - the glove box and the battery. An original after market Mustang stereo was installed and speakers fitted to the rear parcel shelf. The car did have an alarm system of which I disconnected as it was acting up. It is all there an if need be it can be reconnected and activated. The remote is in the glove box. Most of the gauges work except the clock on the rally pack and I think the charging gauge is connected incorrectly as its on the D side although I did check the charging rate and that appears to be good.I had to install a new power steering pump on the vehicle as the original was extremely noisy. The new or should I say rebuilt is better but still wines somewhat - but if you know Ford - its common. The cooling system was fitted with an aluminum radiator for better cooling and the car runs as it should. Also if you have noticed, the front of the motor has a serpentine belt setup which from research that I did, is from a later model Mustang. The 289 motor also has an Edelbrock intake manifold with a four barrel Holley carburetor and headers. The car has also been retrofitted with front brake discs and calipers for better stopping performance. And, it has a functional Air Conditioner that does blow cold!On start up the car purrs and does not emit any smoke whatsoever and the transmission shifts fine. There is a lube sticker in the windshield showing a recent service. The vin shows that the car was built in San Hose and was originally a six cylinder.I have inspected the car to the best of my ability and cannot be held responsible for any latent defects that might appear after purchase. I always suggest that a potential buyer inspect the car in person before bidding or buying. There is no warranty and the car is sold as is. I am in possession of the title. If you have any questions, please feel free to either email me or call me at 310-259-5755 - thanks for looking - Ron
