1992 Ford F-250 F150 RIDE OBS 2WD 4.10 GEAR 5TH WHEEL HITCH CAMPER Description

Throughout 2020, old cars and trucks have been my therapy during these unknown times.

Since 1998, I’ve been selling classic cars, trucks, and collectibles on eBay, with 100% positive feedback since day one.I’mincredibly excitedto share this special 1992 Ford F250 XLT with you. This pickup, optioned out properly with heavy springs, a 460 v8, and 4.10 gears, is truly Ford Tough. Please open your favorite beverage and take all the time needed to look through the photos and high definition video. I've tried to capture every inch of this pickup on video or in photo to make a buyer as comfortable with the truck as possible.

The Story

Late last winter, I came across this gorgeous F250 for sale by the son of who I believe to be the original owner. I was immediately struck by the code EH, Cabernet paint. Darker than the popular E4 Vermillion Red, this Cabernet color really pops. The truck was proudly used during Wisconsin summers to tow a 5th wheel camper to State Parks with his family. The son said Dad usually got a new truck every 5 years or so, but absolutely fell in love with this one and couldn't let it go. After nearly 25 years of enjoyment, Dad passed. The boys inherited the truck and continued using it for a couple more years, but their priorities changed, too. I'm excited to have given the paint the love it needed, as well as treat the truck to some mechanical love, too.

It's a clean Wisconsin truck that received a needed tune-up after my purchase It has been treated to:

New Cooper tires Complete tune-up...plugs, wires, cap, rotor, coil, air filter, fuel filter, oil change. Transmission fluid (all 14 qts) and filter changed Rear gear oil changed New battery Brakes look good Recent belts

In addition to the power options and chrome bumpers, the XLT option also offers that sofa for a front bench seat. I don't need to remind you how comfortable these trucks are. The interior shows incredibly well and I think anyone would be proud to be in this truck.

The undercarriage is gorgeous for Wisconsin standards, and still nice for the rest of the country. The truck was undercoated at the dealer and it likely hasn't seen much Wisconsin salt. I'll let the videos and photos do the talking, but I think the undercarriage shows well, especially for not being detailed.

The 5th wheel hitch is still installed and included with the sale...you just have to pop out the bedliner to attach the hitch. A brake controller is also still installed and lights up, but I have not tested it, as I haven't towed with the truck. R12 air conditioning blows warm. May need compressor? Tail pipe after muffler is broken, but the truck is quiet. I didn't fix exhaust because I wasn't sure if next owner might want to put dual exhaust on the truck? Rear antilock brakes don't work, as shown in the videos. I believe a sensor is needed. Lastly, at some point during my ownership, the passenger side power window stopped working. I believe a motor is needed. Truck starts, runs, and drives incredibly well. Hopefully the video conveys this, but the truck doesn't rid like a 3/4 ton lumber wagon. It's sincerely comfortable. The 460, auto trans, with 4.10 gears is an incredibly sought after combination for towing. Minor rust as shown in the photos and videos, but this OBS got TONS of looks and thumbs up this summer.
