1934 Ford Other Pickups Hot Rod Description

1934 Ford Hot-Rod Pickup:

Up for auction is my personal hot-rod that I have driven for the last 4 seasons. It is a real nice truck that handles excellent, is fast and absolutely reliable. My 1934 Ford project started with a rust free cab, from Colorado, the box is an aftermarket that was shortened in the back of the wheels to match the distance in the front. It uses a 35 tailgate for the Ford emblem, the hood tops are louvered Rotolieb with 33 hood sides as I thought the 34's were getting a little heavy on the V-8 emblems. The grille and insert are very nice originals. The top was chopped 4 inches and the glass is all new with a 60's tint. The gas tank is a custom build from "Moon" that holds 12 gal. The interior has a cut down van seat that folds forward. The steering column and shifter are from "Lime Works." The steering wheel is a 37-39 standard. The dash insert is from So-Cal and the gauges are S-W Wings. The frame was made with ASC frame rails and boxed with swaged boxing plates from Ionia Rod Shop. The cross-member is 35 - 40 style from Chassis Engineering. The narrowed 9 - inch rear with 3.00 gearing is mounted with a triangulated 4-bar with Aldan coil-overs. The rear frame rails were kicked up to flow with the bottom of the box. The front end consists of 46 chromed bones with tube shocks, vega cross-steer with 46 spindles and early F-100 self-energizing brakes. The axle is a dropped and drilled unit from "Okie Joe." The headlights are Guide and the taillights are 48 Chevy. The drive train consists of a rebuilt 70 LT-1 complete with double hump drilled heads and Winter Bros. intake. The carb is a 650 Double Pumper Holley. Ignition is a Pertronics and the exhaust is 2 1/2 inch CorvetteRams Horn. The radiator is a Walker. Trans is a Turbo 350 with mild shift-kit. The color of the truck is the original color the cab was, which is pretty close to Army green. It was painted in a base coat-clear coat. The main portion has a satin clear coat and the grill and other raised body revels was done in gloss clear. Various parts on the truck were chromed. Cliff Anderson pin striped the truck and Roger's Body Shop painted it. Check out the pictures for additional details.
