1966 Ford Mustang PONY INTERIOR Description

BRIGHT RED CANDY APPLE PAINT, RED AND WHITE PHONY INTERIOR, VERY STRONG 5.0 ROLLER ENGINE OUT OF A 1993 COBRA MUSTANG, T5 MANUAL 5 SPEED TRANSMISSION, DISC BRAKES FRONT, 17 INCH AMERICAN RACING WHEELS.
HEAD LIGHTS WORK! TAIL LIGHTS WORK!BRAKE LIGHTS WORK! TURN SIGNALS WORK!INTERIOR LIGHT NOT WORKING! WIPERS WORK!SPEEDOMETER WORKS! HORN NOT WORKING!AFTER MARKET RADIO WORKS! OIL GAUGE WORKS!
HOW IS THE ENGINE? Its a 5.0 roller engine that runs very strong. 5.0 is a 302 cubic inch that fit the 1966 good. Past owner said it was out of a 1993 Cobra Mustang. I hear no knocks, no pings and it starts good. This is a fuel injected engine with no carburetor so it starts good and runs smooth.
HOW IS THE TRANSMISSION? Past owner said it was also out of the same 1993 Mustang Cobra. Its a T5 5 speed manual. It shifts good with a close trough. I feel no clutch slip or chatter, it is a little harder to press the pedal than stock, I think a performance clutch and pressure plate has been added.
HOW IS THE PAINT? The candy apple red paint is very shinny, I see no dents or car door dings. Its not a roll out of the trailer Show Queen paint job that cost $15,000! Its just a dent driver quality that looks good, but if you inspect with a critical eye you will find touched up chips, some specs and some minor flaws. The pictures show a perfect car, its nice but sure not perfect.
HOW IS THE BODY RUST WISE? I did not paint the car so I can't tell you what under the shinny red. I do see than a couple of floor bottoms have been replace with correct ones, maybe a couple of spot repairs in floor thin sheet metal. Sub frames look real nice and solid, rear quarter panel drop down are good, looks like the bottom of the drivers quarter has had a bottom 8 replaced.
HOW IS THE CHROME? Chrome is pretty nice, front bump look like new, door handles very good, rear bumper OK with minor pits, stainless trim good, door divider bar have pits inside, tail light bezel and trunk bezel look great.
HOW IS THE INTERIOR? Decent Pony interior, but not all new, no bad wear or holes, headliner needs wrinkles steamed out. Someone has lowered the drivers seat about 1 inch, I guess they had a fat belly. I'm average height 5'10 and fit fine.
HOW IS THE GLASS? Windshield has no milky spot, no wiper marks and no stone chip. Side glass roll up and down fine and look good, back glass good, but painter good some minor sand marks near the top.
HOW DOES THE CAR DRIVE? I consider it driving very good for the year. It has no power steering so you do put a little effort in when parking.Past owner put most new front end parts, new ball joints, new upper and lower control arms, new tie rod ends, no idler arm, now sturt rod bushing, new heavier sway bar and bushings.
THE HEATER IS a after market that replaces the original heater box. I have not tried it other than checking to see if the blower works and it does. I put a picture of the condtorls on the listing.
HOW IS THE EXHAUST SYSTEM? Very good Muscle Car sound, tube headers, Flow Mater mufflers, turn downs behind the mufflers.
HOW ARE THE BRAKES? Very good brakes, disc in front with multi disc pistons in calipers, dual master cylinder added for safety.
WHATS THE HISTORY? I bought it from a mechanic that worked on Knoxville, Tennessee's police cars, he bought it from a man in Kentucky.
CLEAR AND CLEAN TENNESSEE TITLE IN HAND!
WHERE IS THE CAR LOCATED?Athens, Tennessee 37303.
