I own an auto repair/restoration shop I'm a ASE Master Auto Technician 35 years experience, 2021 will be 20 years in business.I have had this truck for over 5 years, working on it between customer cars. It is my personal truck, and is not a hacked up, zip tied POS. Every wiring connection is soldered, every line is stainless steel. It drives very well and stops like it should . All the lights and wipers work like they should. This build has less than 200 miles.
Love or hate the paint, body work is 97%+ done. Original greens and blues come through the oxide primer. Truck was taken down to the last nut and bolt, modified the frame and reassembled with all new weatherstripping and seals.
Full Disclosure READ THIS PART. If you think your ebay dream car is going to show up perfect, you are naive, I have been doing this for a long time and have seen my share of heartach, check my feedback. Things that you need to be aware of: There is a small spot of the bed liner that has raised by the fuel filler door. The front sway bar is not connected to the end links, I felt it was too close to the air bags, I planned to heat it and put a slight bend in it. The transmission pan has a small leak, leaves a spot the size of your thumb over a weekend. The driver door weatherstrip is stiff and the door needs to be closed harder than I think it should, it's much better with the window down. The automatic air ride system will not program, after spending 5k+ on this system Air Ride Technologies/ Ridetech had me send it in, tested it and said they no longer support this system. They told me I needed to spend another $1300 on the latest version(thanks a lot guys). I then pre-ordered the Accuair syste, they went bankrupt before they shipped. I just wired in an AVS switch box and use the display as a gauge. If the voltage drops the gauge will need to be rese, by unplugging the controller for a second, happens when it sits. A couple of times in the last year when the truck would sit for a couple of weeks a lifter would tick until it warmed up, does not happen every time.Truck is dirty and dusty.Pre-purchase inspection is welcomed and encouraged.
