1991 Ford Crown Victoria Police Package 5.8L 351w v8 Description

As pictured this is a 1991 Ford LTD Crown Victoria police package with the 5.8L V8 / 351 windsor motor. Mileage is beyond mechanical but as sold to me it is listed at 104,062 which is what it was when I bought it from a dealer in Arizona (11/2018) and has not changed.
.

VIN: 2FACP72G8MX118077Body: BA4Axle code: 8
It was reported to be originally a California police vehicle, unknown department/agency, that later spent time in Arizona for parades and such. I don't know the history of the car beyond what was relayed to me and that's it.
It is (in my assessment) a solid vehicle and if you're even looking at this listing you know these old 'box' style Police cars are really hard to find since most have long been recycled or otherwise destroyed making movies and TV. Personally I love these cars you almost never see them anymore. I looked for this one for a while but it's the 'smart' decision to part with it before getting into the project, it's next up but I've had it 3 years already.
The motor does run, I have a video I can send if you can't come check it out in person (or have an inspection done). It is registered in Washington state with a clean Washington state title in hand *BUT* it is not at a point where it should be driven further than to get it onto a trailer. It really needs to be mechanically restored to ensure it runs, stops, steers, and all those other good things before it hits the roads.
As stated, while the motor runs, the brakes stop it, and it steers, it is NOT safe or ready to be driven anywhere. Read: BRING A TRAILER. Sold as-is, where is, no warranty or guarantees. I'll help with making it available for inspection, meeting your shipper, etc.
The column shifter broke where the cable attaches (previous owner); I'm including the part the PO sent to me to fix this along with the pictured field service manual in the sale. It will however shift manually by push/pull the cable (in fact it still needs to be out of gear to start so that safety feature still works).
The tires are ancient but hold air
I am Including the new Motorcraft Max battery I bought for it in 2018 (I keep this on a NOICO charger to maintain it)Body seems solid, trunk and floors, bottom of doors, etc
At minimum if you intend to drive this in public someday it needs a mechanical restoration - all the parts that degrade after 30 years should be inspected and if needed replaced etc. I had intended to build a very mild 'sleeper' and have fun with it once it was reliable and safe, just clean up the cosmetic stuff but leave it looking rough and surprise some people.
Please send me any questions you have, or specific photos you want - but to help you with deciding if this is your next project: picture a 30 year old former patrol car that was in the bright southwestern sunshine for most of its life ... and that's what you have. "It's got a cop motor, a 351 cubic inch power plant, it's got...." :)
