1964 Ford Falcon Futura Description
Clean southern car with some added giddy up under the hood. Sharp looking design enhanced even more with a beautiful color and great looking custom wheels.
EXTERIOR: It is a good looking design and has a great color. The body is real straight. The doors fit square and close like new. The paint is very glossy and the metal flake is laid out nice. There are a few flaws. Up front the grill and bumper are not new but they are shiny. The moldings down the sides do look new. It has original door handles with some freckles, the mirrors are new. The windshield is new. In back the tail panel is real nice, the bumper has been rechromed but has some imperfections. The black convertible top is not that old, the weather strips on the top frame have been replaced. It has a good looking set of 17 inch US Mag aluminum wheels with new performance tires, the nubs are still on the tread.
INTERIOR: It's very nice inside the car. The front and back seats have been redone with the correct upholstery that has the chrome piping. The door panels also look like they've been replaced. The carpet looks new and it has Ford Falcon mats. The shifter has been moved to the floor. It has a modern Bluetooth stereo with kick panel speakers and 6x9s in the back. There is a mini tachometer neatly mounted below the dash.
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: Upgraded with a mild performance built 302 motor. It has an aluminum Edelbrock intake and an Edelbrock car with electric choke. It also has an MSD electronic ignition. It's dressed up with Ford Racing aluminum valve covers and the Hi Po open element air cleaner. The alternator looks new, has a chrome coil and billet pulleys. Upgraded aluminum radiator keeps it running cool. The engine bay is nice smooth clean metal, the factory seams and spot welds are crisp. The bottom of the hood is painted to match the car. It has a new battery bolted down properly with a disconnect switch.
TRUNK COMPARTMENT: it's been spatter painted gray and white. It is completely solid, it looks like the original quarter panels. The weather strip has been replaced. It has a plaid mat and a spare tire.
UNDERSIDE: Looking up at the motor and trans they look like they were installed yesterday. The motor has a fresh Ford blue paint job, shiny chrome oil pan and the starter looks new. The bell housing is clean as a whistle, it's connected to a C-4 TCI automatic trans with a chrome pan and braided stainless dipstick. The front end has been completely rebuilt. I see new hardware, bushings, ball joints, tie rods etc. It also has a new disc brake conversion in front. It's a great sounding dual exhaust with Flowmaster mufflers. The metal under this car is super clean too. The frame rails, floor pans, rockers, factory pinch welds are all dry crisp and clean.
This car looks like a good time. Put the top down, turn some heads and see what that 302 has to offer! Yep, good times.
I, Jay Grams, take pride in personally writing the descriptions for virtually every car for about the last 30 years now. A significant amount of effort goes into fact checking. What I am offering is my professional impression of the vehicle.
