Texas Classic Cars Of Dallas is proud to showcase this nicely restored 1964 1/2 Ford Mustang Convertible,You are looking at a beautiful D code Ford Mustang convertible presented in Guardsman blue with white interior trimmed in blue. Starting with the exterior, the paint is trimmed with like new pieces of chrome, covered with a new power blue convertible top. All body gaps show nice even line, and if you think this car looks good with top u, it looks even better with the top down and with its white boot that matches the interior color scheme. The wheels are presented cleanly with wire wheel covers and a like new set of Bf Goodrich tires that give this mustang a classic stance.
Open up the hood and you'll find a well organized engine compartment that holds the famous 289ci V, it is detailed in correct gold and black. This 289 surely puts out the power needed to move this mustang with ease, mated to a smooth 4-speed manual transmission which bumps up the fun it has no trouble riding on today's highways. The trunk is also clean and detailed being painted all throughout in Guardsman blue and covered with an original type mat, it is the perfect place to store your luggage.
Open the doors to 1965, hop in to the bucket seats and get ready to hit the road. The interior still looks like new, being completely restored under a year ago this is practically a new car, with pony floor mats and matching blue seat belt this interior is well combined. The owner has won best of show in class at various local car shows and you can to, just don't hesitate to call for more information and to schedule a test drive, this Mustang will not disappoint.
Almost everything on this car was either redone or replaced. One of the items unique to the 1964 1/2 Mustang are it's large horns located behind the radiator on the frame. This set has been powder coated.
All 64-1/2 Mustangs also had these battery cooling vents (louvers), due to the generator charging system whichmade the batteries run hotter.
We would like to thank the Dallas Love Field Frontiers of Flight for their unique location used at many of our photo shoots.Be sure to visit this historical museum if you find yourself in the Dallas, Texas area.Texas Classic Cars of Dallas' showroom is located only minutes away.
The floor pans have been replaced and show very well..
