1930 Ford Model A Woodie Wagon
1930 Ford Model A Woodie Woody Description
1930 Ford Model A
Woodie Wagon
This is a cool streetrodded woodie that has the original old school look but is a nice little cruiser! The wagon was built by an owner of the "Wagonmaster Coachworks Inc" that built these wood bodies. I have the brochure that the company put out with the bodies. It is all maple and birch. Beautiful job on the body. Everything fits great and very tight. The inside woodwork is just as nice. The top has been chopped just a few inches, but hardly noticeable. The rest of the body is all very nice steel. The rod was built awhile ago, but still looks great. The paint is not perfect, but looks very good. No scratches, but a few little stone chips here and there. The vinyl on the top is perfect. Even comes with a custom matching 9' wood surfboard on top that I ordered from the March Surfboard company out of Calif. The engine is a Ford V6 with a Holley 390cfm 4 barrel carb and it also has a small cam in it. I know it's not a V8, but it scoots it down the road pretty good. Never runs hot. Always starts warm or cold. Has a rebuilt C4 auto trans. No power steering or brakes, but it really doesn't need them. Steers and stops easily. Mustang II front end with disc brakes and a Ford 8" rear end with drums. Has a good road gear. No AC, but it does has an AC condenser built into the radiator so installing the rest of the AC components will be no problem. The interior upholstery and carpet is in very nice condition and it has a '32 steel dash with full gauges that all work. All lights and signals work. There is lots of comfortable leg room even for the tallest driver with the recessed floor. A nice addition for a Model A. Most A floor's are flat. There's also plenty of room to take the kids and some gear behind the seat. The rear door has gas shocks to lift it. I have every receipt that the owner had for building this rod and also have pictures of the build.
