1965 Ford Falcon Futura Running,Driving Classic!
1965 Ford Falcon Description
Up for auction is my 1965 For Falcon Futura. Clean title in hand. It is a 4 door straight six with an automatic 3 speed trans. This would make a great cruiser. I was just going to do some light body work to prevent further rust and throw some big wheels on it. The only reason I am selling is because I have many other "toys" and the car does not get driven like it used to. The car sits for three plus weeks and I walk out pump the gas, pull the choke and she fires like a champ. She runs great when warm and I have driven this thing on 2 hours trips with no mechanical issues.
The car is mostly original. The original radio was missing when I bought it and speekers added in the rear. It has had one documented repaint the factory color in 1987. No bodywork could be found on the vehicle when I purchased it. The body is very straight and all trim is in place and intact. the paint is pealing and faded. The only rust through areas are the drives floor pan towards the top left of the pan, both rear quarter panels and I believe a small spot in the passenger pan. Other thank that the car is solid. All doors open/close/latch with zero play, the hood lines up great with the fenders as well as the truck. The interior is all there but the drivers side rear door panel. All window and latch hardware is accounted for. The interior is worn with stains and some rips. The rear window seal has shrank and appears to let some water in. Its under cover so i have never seen it leak. All the lights work on the interior and exterior. The tires are in OK shape with some cracking but I do drive like it is. The car runs up and down the road and shifts into all gears smoothly. The brakes work well for what they are but the front right brake is rubbing something and makes a noise if going straight and turning in one direction. If you turn the other direction the noise goes away. I haven't looked into it and have drove it like it is. I was going to swap for disc in the front. I replaced all the shocks and might have 100 miles on them. I think that covers it all
The winning bidder is responsible for a 500.00 dollar non refundable deposit, due within 24 hours of auction end. Full payment is due upon pickup of the vehicle. Buyer is also responsible for pick up and transportation of the vehicle within 7 days of auction end.
