Back in late 70's and early 80's it seems that the automotive world was flooded with replica's of every make and model, from Auburns to Zimmers you had it all. Harry Shay, the man behind the Model A Motor Car Reproduction Corporation, saw a gap in the market and stepped up to the plate. Shay had probably one of the best marketing strategies ever seen, which was to send a replica to every Ford dealer in network. This idea caught like wildfire and the publicity was incredible, from showroom walk in traffic to being a featured prize on The Price is Right it was hard to miss and ad for a Shay in the early 80's. This particular Shay is done in a fully custom Harley Davidson scheme with matching trailer available.
Under the hood is the Ford 2.3L I-4 mated to a standard 4 speed transmission. This daily driven Shay gets attention wherever it goes and turns heads at every meet. The interior has been completely redone in a custom Harley Davidson theme including the rumble seat. The gauges have been upgraded to a more modern setup. It sits on 1980 Ford Mustang II running gear.
