1986 Ford F150
1986 Ford F-150 Description
Up for sale is my 86 F150 that is in pretty good shape for being 30 years old. It is a 4.9L engine with a manual choke and push button start. Truck comes with toolbox and fisher plow which the face of it has been sanded, repainted and is in perfect working condition. If you are looking for a classic showroom looking truck then this is not the vehicle for you. If you are looking for a truck that starts up, is road worthy and plows snow then this is the truck for you. I just put a brand new cap and rotor in it as well as new plugs and wires, it also has a new muffler and exhaust on it. Oil and Transmission fluid have all been changed this past month. I would love to hold on to this as I love old school trucks but I have way too many toys in the driveway and my wife would like me to sell a few. Please serious inquiries only and please no tire kickers as I'm not desperate to sell it and the plow setup alone is worth $2000+
The truck does leak a little bit of transmission fluid, I changed the pan gasket however it still has a little leak. Also, when driving after you get the rpm's up you have to let your foot off of the gas for it to shift into 2nd gear. I bought the truck from my buddy who used it to plow driveways and he said that when he had a used transmission put into it four years ago whoever installed it forgot to drill out a hole which is why you need to take your foot off the gas to get it to shift. I am not a mechanic by any means I am just relaying what I was told. I drive the truck to workat leasttwice a week so it is not just sitting in my driveway.
The truck does not come with a title as Connecticut does not issue titles to vehicles of this age, it will come with current registration and a bill of sale. Please make sure you check with your local DMV to find out what they need for you to register it before you bid or make an offer.
