This car was assembled with the best performance components in the industry, donated for advertisement use on the show TRUCKS! The guys on the show walk you through the major aspects of the build and many of the finer details. These men that worked on this truck are true craftsmen. To answer many questions we've had, yes this truck is even better in person and it rides and drives down the road exactly as was the intention. Project HRT was built with the show circuit and streetability in mind. No corners was cut or detail was overlooked in the build of this one-off 1937 'glass bodied Ford Truck.
The turn-key 347 stroker V8 crate engine was supplied for this truck by Engine Factory Inc. of Leganon, New Jersey. This powerplant is rated at 415 horsepower. The engine compartment showcases Chassis Engineering motor mounts along with the special Hot Hues urethane finish. The belt system is serpentine drive. The pullies are polished as is the air compressor. Cooling is courtesy of a Be Cool aluminum radiator with electric fan assembly.
The exterior fit and finish is excellent as is the quality base/clearcoat multi-stage finish. The trucks color combination was carefully selected and executed by the best in the industry in Hot Hues urethane base/clear. This fiberglass pickup body & steel bed were supplied by Legend Motors.

The low back bucket seating provides excellent passenger and driver's positions. Check out the beautiful center console. The pedal assemblies are quality as is the Vintage Brand air conditioning controls. A Flaming River tilt steering column is utilized along with a Billet leather-wrapped steering wheel. The chromed dash was finished out by the experts at Advanced Plating. You really need to buy the AMAZON 2007 TRUCKS season 7 episodes where this '37 Custom Trucks' build is explained and shown in detail.

The gauges are by Autometer - Old Tyme Black Series

The power window setup is controlled with billet buttons. Check out the LONG brand shifter and microfiber & suede surfaces.

The interior is just striking, assembled with comfort and style at the forefront. The seat selection consists of custom one-off low back buckets fitted with grain & suede leather for a comfortable passenger compartment. I am 6 ft 2 and fit well in Project HRT. This truly is a streetable truck.
The one-off bed was specially prepared and assembled wood with stain, stainless strips and an aircraft-style fuel cap by Pro-Pics. The wheel tubs are steel, fabricated and finished to perfection. These tubs are by Competition Engineering. The steel bed itself is part of the stunning package by Legends Motors, where this body originated. These tubs are necessary to shield the massive 20x22-inch Mickey Thompson Billet Rollers lurking underneath. These wheels are fitted with Mickey Thompson Sportsman S/R series radials.
The undercarriage is a true testament to the quality of the parts used and the fabrication ability of the builders. Each of the men that worked on the truck signed it as you can see. From the adjustable control arms to the bullet-proof Richmond 6 speed & tank-like Currie 31-spline 9-inch rear end, this truck is really overbuilt and is a perfect candidate for the Hot Rod Power Tour.

This fabulous truck has 600 miles on it since the build, but is still in excellent condition, as you can see. The current owner has been meticulous in the trucks maintenance.

This '37s muscular stance is just right thanks to the 20x22 inch billet wheels fitted with Mickey Thompson radials.
