1926 Ford Model T Gowjob Project, Roadster, Hot Rod, Banger
1926 Ford Model T Description
Regretfully selling my T gowjob project due to loss of storage and kids' tuition needs. Excellent running chassis, body and collection of parts perfect for assembling a T gowjob hotrod with great patina!
Chassis and Drivetrain - Excellent stock chassis and drivetrain from nice original car restored in the 80's. No rust or pitting, nice looking old black paint. Anything that looks like rust on the engine or chassis is dust from sitting in the barn for years. Engine runs good and chassis was lot driven last fall with no issues. Good radiator, new hoses, coolant pipe, fan pulley and belt. Nice 21" Model A wire wheels with no rust fitted on new adapters. New Lucas tires and tubes fitted 6 months ago with zero miles. New 6v battery and heavy duty cables. Good exhaust.
Front suspension is fitted with a quality 2 1/2" drop axle and reverse-eye spring resulting in approximately a 4" drop. New 5:1 steering shaft and gears, very nice original steering wheel. Rear has not been lowered and sits very high since the chassis is from a fordor and has the 9 leaf rear spring. Removing a couple of leaves and fitting a reverse-eye lower leaf should match the front drop nicely.
Body is a genuine '26 roadster tub in decent shape. Has been media blasted some time ago and has the usual light rust, bumps, and filler but nothing too serious. Will need bun panels and sill plates but the subrails are solid and the tub is overall solid and very restorable. Some rust in door bottoms. Nice radiator, shell, hood, enginesplashpanels and hood shelves.
Restorable windshield with nice stanchions. Includes seat springs with old upholstery, old interior panels, floor boards, new ignition switch and ammeter with harness. Nice fuel tank, extra firewall, steering column dash and firewall brackets, etc.
A very rough turtle deck is included, the lid is restorable but not sure about the quarters. New repro panel for between deck lid and body. No panel below the deck lid.
Includes some new and lots of good used parts, many not pictured - new body mounting blocks, firewall insulator, choke linkage, radiator fitting kit, hood lacing, carbs, wrenches, restorable headlights, early fender irons, coil boxes, brake drums, head, hood panels, radiator shell, etc.
Car has a matching, current KY title.
