1966 Mustang Convertible Pony Interior C code V8 survivor
1966 Ford Mustang Pony Interior Description
I bought this 1966 Mustang Convertible in Spring 2007 with intentions of restoring it and driving it. I imported it from North Carolina and still have the import papers and N.C. title. The car was an original Pony Interior car with Candyapple paint Parchment crinkle vinyl with burgundy appointments. It was that way when I got it complete with correct door tag. Now it is as you see black on black with silver stripes. The mileage may be correct at 50 some odd thousand as the car does not appear to have 150 plus ( although I cannot guarantee mileage as correct ). As you can see I did a pretty full restoration with almost all new parts including top, interior, floor pans trunk floor, gas tank, carpet knobs and handles in and out fog light grill and way too much to mention. Ask if you want to know on certain items. The good with this car is the frame rails front and rear, inner and outer rockers, boxes, shock towers and aprons are all original ( to the best of my knowledge ) and not cheap repops. That makes this car quite a survivor....now thats the good here is the bad, the radiator was never replaced and leaks, the original 289 was replaced with an early 302 with headers and slight cam but runs strong, and always fires right up. The trans seems to leak a bit of fluid, but when topped up shifts properly. The car was never aligned when all the front suspension components were changed with new stuff so it really needs an alignment. I am most likely underselling this car but I do not want to create the expectation of a 40,000.00 show vehicle. The tires and 16 inch wheels are new ( or were when I did the restoration years ago ). The car runs and drive, 4 wheel drums, manual steering, all new parts, too much to mention spent more than asking, but I have never really driven the car and have moved on to other projects. My loss your gain, a greatpedigree pony for little money, a few quick repairs will get her on the road in no time. Please do not bid if you do not have the cash or permission, bidding is a commitment to buy, ask questions come see it send your agent, well worth the money. It just needs a new home. I can be reached at 613-525-0924 M-F 8-5 EST if you wish to ask questions directly instead of email. I will answer questions honestly and am trying to represent what I have for sale honestly.
