1956 Ford Thunderbird - Peacock Blue/White. EXCELLENT! See VIDEO Description
1956 Ford Thunderbird Located in PORTLAND, OREGON Serial Number P6FH229351 Produced on February 23, 1956 at the Dearborn Ford plant, this Thunderbird has been collector-owned for many years, most recently by the current owner for the past 26 years. It received a full restoration by a marque specialist and has seen limited use, with an average total of 500 miles annually since completion. Always garaged, it presents beautifully today, as seen in the photos. The correct "Peacock Blue" color paint has a deep shine throughout. (There is one small scratch on the lower rim of the spare tire cover, which is barely noticeable, but I want to mention it.) All metal and panels are straight with no signs of any accidents or damage. Chrome and trim is very good. Wire wheels are excellent and wrapped in radial whitewall tires. The interior was fully reupholstered and is also excellent in the correct factory combination of Peacock Blue and Colonial White. Optioned with factory 4-way power seat. Seat belts. AM/FM cassette stereo added. This car was ordered with the soft top delete option. It includes the original "porthole" Colonial White hardtop, which has also been restored. Mechanically, this Bird is also excellent, with its fully rebuilt 312 V8 and Fordomatic transmission. It runs smoothly and powerfully, rated at 225 HP, with 8.4:1 compression. Modern alternator added for bright lights and charging at all speeds. Shifts well. Brakes stop smooth and straight. 13,000 miles showing on the odometer is mileage since the rebuild/restoration was completed. Engine bay is nicely detailed. Please see video of engine running. Overall, this is a wonderful Thunderbird in a beautiful factory color combination that is ready to go anywhere. A reserve has been placed on the car in keeping with its quality and WELL BELOW price guide values for comparable cars in this condition (see last photo.) Please bid accordingly.
