Rat Rod, Street Rod, Hot Rod, whatever you want to call it this truck draws a crowd wherever it goes!Theme: "Hotter Than Hell" Custom built by Russ Ellis "the minister of sinister", out of Phoenix Arizona, check out his work by googling Russ Ellis rat rod..Body: This started out as a super clean all steel body. 1938 and 1939 Ford pickup cabs are the rarest of the Ford cabs with only these two years having the triple body line molding with you don't see very often.
Radical chop - The cab has been professionally chopped and finished for a total of 9 inches with an additional 5 inches channeled.The window channels in the doors has been closed and finished off for a one of a kind look.1930's Model A grille shell with custom perforated steel insert.Custom built bed with storage built into the sides. Expanded metal tonneau cover to show the custom components underneath. Custom bent headlight brackets.
Engine: 355 SBC built by Jimmy Rader out of Maryland. Less than 300 miles on motor.4 bolt main, one piece leak free seal. It has a Eagle rotating assembly, JE 8.5 Blower Pistons. Complete Erson hydraulic roller valve train.Aluminum roller rockers. I have all the specs on the cam. .080 seamless pushrods. Plasma modified file for rings. Melling high volume oil pump. Double roller timing chain. Aluminum heads 2.020 intake valves 1.600 exhaust valves. Dual valve springs. New MSD distributor # 8360. New starter & fuel pump. 6-71 Weiand Blower. Dual Holley 600cfm blower carbs # 0-805755. BDS air scoop. Custom Billet valve covers. Sanderson Limefire headers. Many custom Billet parts. New radiator.Transmission: GM Turbo 350 with shift kit. Lokar radical shifter with custom knob.
Suspension: Front - Suicide front axle setup. Drilled drop style 4" drop axle. Single Super spring over setup. Speedway hairpin radius rods.Rear: GM 10 bolt posi 3.50 gears. This is the 8.5 10 bolt which is the best one. Beefy radius rods link to frame. Chrome coil over shocks. Panhard bar for more stability.
Brakes: 4 wheel drum all the way around. Firewall frame mounted Willwood master cylinder. New line front to back.
Frame: Custom 2x4 fully boxed steel. Undercarriage is very clean.
Steering: New frame mounted steering box. Pitman arm to drag link to tie rod steering setup.
Electrical: Complete new wiring. Tri gauges mounted custom atop windshield. Water temp, Oil pressure & voltage gauge. Electric fan, headlights, taillights and brake lights.
Exterior Paint: Flat Black finish - John Deere Blitz Black - Industrial strength paint resists auto fluids and finger prints. Custom real fire paint on exterior with demons in the flames. Custom painted tail panel with "Hotter Than Hell" Lettering.
Interior paint: same finish as exterior with custom art painted dash and demon skills and fire on door panels and above windshield. All paint work done by award winning artist Bruce Rosier. Bruce has won awards at every major event IE: World Of Wheels, Good Guys and even the Las Vegas Sema winner in 2013.
Interior: Steel floor. Custom console. Custom made seats.
Wheels & Tires: Very low miles BFG White Wallson bright Red Coker Steelie Wheels, Chrome trim rings and center moon caps.
Remarks/Other:: This is a well built truck, one of a kind hot rod pickup with hundreds of hours in custom metal fabrication and detail finish. All quality work!!
One of a kind - Award winner, Head turner. Gets lots of attention and draws a crowd and lots of thumbs up on the road.This truck always starts, runs strong and is scary fast!! The truck isn't for an inexperienced driver or the faint of heart!!
I have a folder full of receipts... Also include is a brand new custom Fuel tank that was fabricated by the Buggy Shop in Kansan. It's 8"x50" powder coated near chrome, has site gauge, AN#8 fitting in bottom center, 3 spoke custom vented cap that's powder coated semi gloss Black. Custom fabricated mounting straps with all the hardware. The fabricated mounts are powder coated semi gloss Black. Have all receipts for this as well.
