1930 Ford Model A Description

Up for sale is a NO RESERVE auction for my ALL STEEL 1930 Ford Model A street rod!!! This rod has a killer stance!!! I’ve been building this rod from the ground up for over the past 7 year. The car is ready to assemble and the interior of your choice!! A job change, getting married and time constraints is the ONLY reason I’m parting with my ride…… It would cost $25,000 - $30,000 to build another car that is in this condition/state. I have full build pictures that will be provided on a jump drive to the new owner.

(Added 07/22/16) The car is in the state you see in my listing photo. It can easily be rolled/winched up onto trailer. The headers seen in the mock up photo are the once that come with the car. The mock up photo showing the grill/radiator is how the finished height is. Feel free to ask any other questions. Thank you.

  • · Illinois Title in hand
  • · All Steel Ford Tudor body. The body was fully sandblasted, all seams sealed/caulked and the complete car was sealed with DP90.
  • · The frame was made from mandrel bent rails while using the original front part of the frame which was boxed. The frame is Z’d and the rails are flush with the pans. The quality is as good as a race car frame.
  • · Chevy 12 bolt rear end with Chevy up and lower control arms.
  • · The top was chopped 2 3/4 of an inch. The rear window was not chopped and is 1” inch smaller than the side windows. Giving the car a more original look without having the huge rear with a chopped window. IT has a cutout in the roof for a removable top section.
  • · Last year the car was painted Dodge Viper Stryker red using PPG Dextran tri-coat paint. The paint job was $7,000. The car was wet sanded and buffed last year and I put two coats of wax on this past spring. The top was also painted black until it got a vinyl top.
  • · The car is setup for a SBC. It currently has a 307 and TH350 transmission that I pulled out of a 1970 Camaro that has been in my family for over 25 years. It has 83,000 on the drive train. The pan and valve covers were pulled and motor was checked out and cleaned up. The 307 produces about 200HP, plenty for a car this size.
  • · Buick rims all around the car, with Buick aluminum fin brakes with 37 Spindles and a dropped Super Bell front end.

·

Below is the list of parts that come with the car. Minus interior, 90-95% of the parts are included to complete the car.

New Lokar shifter and new B&M shifter. (Was going to use the Lokar then changed to the B&M when I decided to go with the custom original bench seat)

New Electric fan for the radiator

New 1939 Chevy Taillights painted the same color as the car

· New AutoMeter Gauges

· New Wiring Harness

· New 2 barrel carb for the 307

· New Cooker tires (Still have the blue coating over the white walls)

· New starter

· New brake master and pedal assembly

· New steering box

· New Aluminum gas tank ( I think 10 -12 gallons)

· New Aluminum radiator

· New Custom Headers

· New shocks and coil overs

· New brake master and pedal

· Chopped Windshield with tempered glass already installed

· Flush mount gas cap

· 1937 Taillights painted the same color as the car

· 1930 Ford Model A grill that was chopped and the radiator cap filled in

· Modified Chevy Steering column with tilt

· Custom original Model A bench seat. The bench seat was made to accommodate a person over 6’ tall. I’m 6’2” and can go down to some just over 5’.

· Original 1930 Ford Modal A head lights

· Original Ford Modal A door handles

· Drive shaft mocked up. Needs to be taken to a driveshaft shop forcompletion

· 50’s Buick Rims

You will need brake lines, fuel lines, steering wheel, wire / plugs and not much else to get on the road.

If I think of any other parts not mentioned, I'll add them to the listing. Once car is paid in full, I can store the car up to 30 days while pickup/shipping arrangements are made.
