1940 Ford coupe deluxe Description

Mostly original except for upgrades to the motor and a 2 speed rear axle. It has dual 2 barrel carbs on an Offenhauser intake with Grancor heads. original 3 speed on the column. I've had the car for about 6 months and have put about 3000 miles on it.70mph on the interstate is pretty comfortable. original drum brakes all around. appears to have been restored in 1982 and sat in a barn for the last 10. Needs tires due to dry rot but I figured the next guy might want custom wheels. besides that drive it anywhere. gauges work all work but speedometer doesn't. I've been using a gps app. It would be a great car to return to original or customize. for sale locally as well and on facebook classic cars for sale. I do have a reasonable reserve price that i need to get or I will keep it based on what ive seen similar cars on ebay sell for. I would like to get rid of it before snow falls so I don't have to store it.

body is in great shape. starts and runs nice. all features, gauges and lights work except the speedometer. mileage is estimated I'll try to represent any defects in the pics. one small spot on the right rear where some bondo has been added but when you look under the car it appears pretty clean. Left rear fender is new 2 weeks ago. Dennis carpenter fender. interior is decent but I'll be honest it smells a little like the barn it was in for 10 years. but the smell only noticeable if the carpet gets wet like a wet dog type smell. the blue shag carpet needs to go but again I think the purchaser will customize. All the lights work correctly with turn signals. starts and runs nice. Mallory ignition Mostly original except for upgrades to the motor and a 2 speed rear axle.
