This “K” code is not a recent barn find or a circulated market car! I have owned it for 13 years and must sell due to an upcoming move and lack of future garage space. This car has been a show car for most of its life, having been driven some 3,000 miles since restoration in 1984 by Don Toy, Chief Judge of the Sierra Mustang Club in Sacramento. Shown at the 1984 Santa Barbara Car Show, where it won "BEST OF SHOW"!Car was a "NO SALE" at the 1985 Barrett-Jackson Auction at a $25,000 reserve. I have the complete history, though pre 1983 data is sketchy. The previous owner conducted exhaustive research into the car's history with detailed results and these records are included with the car. This car had spent its entire life in the Sacramento area until 1999, when it was brought to the Seattle area by the immediate previous owner, from whom I purchased the car in 2003. It has seen extensive recent work, totaling some $8000 plus a new set of Yokohama Avid appropriately sized (195/70 x 14) radial tires for much improved drivability. The tires are the only item that departs from the OEM and originality of the car. ALL of this work was conducted by professionals in the Seattle area (Bel Kirk Mustang, Carb Connection, etc.).

Items replaced or repaired include: new tires, new battery, new fuel filter canister, rebuilt/trimmed/adjusted ORIGINAL carburetor, reinstalled Rally Pac clock/tach, tuned with new plugs, dual points, plug wires, condenser, compression check (Low 167-High 185), harmonic balancer check, new front brake hoses, instrument cluster voltage regulator, new fuel tank and fuel sender, exhaust system (repo of original), trunk mat, windshield washer pump, shifter bushings, new clutch (with flywheel resurfacing), all brake components (calipers, rotors, drums, shoes, cylinders, seals, etc.), front end alignment, new wiring harnesses: headlight feed, under dash harness, tail light harness, battery cable kit, alternator harness, fog light relay, stoplight switch, numerous bulbs, etc. All receipts are available and included. For specific information or more pictures, please contact me.

Rally Pac is an original Ford unit (8000 rpm) rebuilt and converted to electronics by North Hollywood Speedometer at a cost of $500.

Includes FoMoCo 1965 Shop Manual, soft padded flannel indoor car cover, a few spare parts and two large boxes of early Mustang literature, ID guides, price guides, magazines, etc.

THIS CAR NEEDS NOTHING! EVERYTHING WORKS! All lights, like trunk light, courtesy lights, instrument lights, w/s washer, radio, etc.
