Up for sale is an amazing 1973 Ford F-250 Ranger XLT 4x4 factory High Boy pickup truck. This truck has been turning heads locally as a weekend driver for years, and is still one of the best-looking trucks on the road. It is in exceptional mechanical condition, as well as being very straight and having very little presentation of rust. Details as follows:

Original 1973 F-250 4x4 with the top-of-the-line Ranger XLT package in factory green on green; a classic color combination. The repaint was done approximately 25 years ago, and was of above average quality then. The truck looks like a million bucks from 15’ away, and is as straight as you might find. Upon closer examination, the paint flaws become apparent, including failing clear coat on hood... an easy repaint should you choose to do so. Still a very good-looking truck. Very straight body panels, spray-in bed liner, good glass throughout, nice period aftermarket rear bumper and matching front winch bumper. Very nice XLT & Ranger stainless trim, nice grilles, etc. A very good-looking truck that turns heads wherever it goes.

The engine is a period correct remanufactured 390 V8, overhauled approximately 30k miles ago. Runs great, good oil pressure, no bottom end or valve train noise, smooth acceleration. Freshly-rebuilt 4v Holley carburetor, Edelbrock aluminum intake, RV cam, lifters and springs, valve job and seals, factory exhaust manifolds, etc. Fresh tune-up parts, fluids, and filters just done. The truck sounds mean, and has tons of power.

The truck drives very well, tracks straight down the road (even with the big tires), and steers easily with the power assist. It brakes well and straight. The truck is a real pleasure to drive.

The four-wheel drive system operates as it should.

The underside of the truck is completely rust-free with the exception of one small area in the floors just off the seat hump, ~ 1” x 3” in size. The rockers, frame, cab mounts, corners, etc. are exceptional. No apparent rust in the bed floor either. Minor bubbles and cracks in the old repaint; nothing major. The windows roll up and down properly, and the glass is good throughout.

The two accessory right/left saddle fuel tanks are currently removed, but included if you choose to mount them. The three-way selector switch is still present below the driver’s side of the seat.

The interior features original vinyl floor mat still in very nice condition, nice original dash & gauges in working order, working heater, lights, turn signals, and wipers. The seat upholstery looks original and nice. The door panels are original and decent. The headliner is intact; overall, a better than good “survivor” interior usable exactly as-is.

The wheels are classic period-correct original aluminum slots mounted with good usable all terrain radial tires.

While not restored or perfect, this is fantastic original classic Ford High Boy 4x4 you can climb in and enjoy exactly as-is, or restore as a high-dollar appreciating classic.

While every effort has been made to describe the vehicle as accurately as possible, it is in fact a 43-year-old classic truck, and therefore being sold as-is, without warranty or guarantee expressed, written, or implied.

Please be ready to make payment in full within 3 days of auction’s end via deposit into my Bank of America account, or bank wire transfer.

Shipping is the full responsibility of the buyer; I own a classic car restoration shop and can recommend a reliable and affordable broker who I have used many times... ultimately the choice must be yours alone.

Clear matching title will be sent approximately 6-8 weeks following the truck; it is currently in transit. I have done many of these, and the timeline generally holds accurate... they always arrive.
