This is a 1966 Ford Econoline…very rare…E142 (Rated 1 ton). I did all the body work and paint in my driveway. All body seams are welded and filled. The roof is truck bed lining (I may have been the first one to do this).
The back doors have been filled in. The rear oval window was hand made. I made a mold for the taillights and replaced the parking lights with the same design. The rear lights are hooked up to sequencials (think ’68 Cougar), another first for an old Econoline.
Inside is a 5.0 high performance Mustang engine. Automatic 3 speed with overdrive, rare Lincoln 9” rear end positraction…all rebuilt. The dash is a solid African Mahogany. I removed the switches and radio and installed them in an overhead console. I installed one-piece electric windows and lots of shag. I removed the windshield wipers from below the window and found wiper blades that would fit in the roof over the windshield. I made a mold for the portholes. My design allows the portholes to go an any curved panel without distortion. I won an award for best paint job in a local car show.
Condition is Very Clean.
I bought this stock van 11 years ago and set about customizing and rebuilding it.
