This is one of my favorite vehicles of all time. It has lots of bed space, nimble steering, great breaks because of the bed length, nice power, very reliable, simple work truck. It was repainted a couple years ago, has No Rust. It’s Southern Truck. The tires are about a year old. I used the truck to move refinished leaded glass entrance doors, one or two at a time. Light duty for sure. I bought it from a construction company with 75,000 miles on it in 1997. They used it as a supervisor’s truck to drive from Atlanta to South Carolina and back.
Main Street Automotive replaced a leaking intake manifold gasket and said it needed a tune-up. It was time so I replace the spark plugs, wires, distributor cap, and rotor. It didn’t run right so I took it back to them. They then diagnosed it to have a cracked cylinder head affecting one cylinder. It doesn’t leak water but idles rough. I paid them to do a overall engine assessment before they replaced the gasket. They said it was good for an older vehicle except for the failed gasket. To that, all I can say is AMAZING!
I’m semi-retired and decided to get a bigger truck as I wouldn’t need to be as concerned as much with gas mileage. I still like my Ranger better.
