1984 Ford Bronco II Description
This is a very unique Bronco II. The theme was the vintage look, the way the factory could have done it. It doesn't look modified as much as it looks original. People always want to know what year it is :) It is a 60K mile original truck. The black paint is mostly original. It has never been in any accident or fender bender. There is no body rust. See pictures closely, for body condition along with underneath pic to show the original finish on the floor. Even the brake drum still has the factory numbers on it! The red interior is very nice. The seat bottoms have been reupholstered with the original material. The headliner is not loose or fallen, it could use a spray to put the red back. The floor is covered in a black rubber mat, full, through the back seat area. The front grille is a 1966 Bronco grille. It looks cool !! Much interest from people, very unique. The bumper and wheels along with the grille are painted Wimbledon White.Caps are 70s style with the front having a hole for the 4wd hub.Tires are Goodyear Wranglers 235/75/15, low miles. Shocks and brakes are newer as well. The truck had 54K on it when I bought it 7 years ago. So everything I have done ( including tires, brakes, shocks, etc ) is less than 6K miles old. The engine has only 2K miles on it. It is a 1968 302, rebuilt with E7 heads, 1.72 roller rockers, a '82 GT aluminum intake manifold and a Motorcraft 2100 carburetor. I built it for efficiency. The transmission is a C4/C5 ( modified non-lock up C5 with a C4 valve body and a servo change ). and shifts perfectly. There are no leaks. The radiator is an aftermarket aluminum radiator for an Explorer. It has a Durasprak distributor and a GM HEI module running it. Works perfectly. Again, the truck is supposed to look stock. You see no "boy racer" parts, it's got that factory look even though it isn't. It runs down the road perfectly. Yes, you can drive it home if you need to do that. Problems, not much. The gas gauge doesn't work. It didn't when I go tit and I never did anything about it. The guy I bought it from gave me a float for the sending unit, now it gets passed on to you :) . . see the pic. The passenger side drip rail needs to be refinished. Under the right door is nt perfect, no holes, but it's rough. I treated it and sprayed it black some time ago. Driver side is better, see pics. But the body is CLEAN !! No damage, no dents, no rust. The paint still shines. It could use a good detailing. It has been sitting for about 3 years with only 400 miles put on it. I'm not using it.Time to send it on and work on something else. I'm sure I have forgotten things. This is an eye catcher, in great shape, ready to rumble. Oh . . yes . I put a 2.73 gear in the rear for highway cruising. I will included the stock 3.45 gear so you can put it back if you want to do that. The front axle still has the 3.45 in it. The 4wd works, its all manual.I also added a Draw-tite hitch. I have a very reasonable reserve set. I hope and expect the truck to bring more than the reserve, but once thereserveis met, it sells. I will help with your shipper, if you choose that route. You could take a bus, a train, whatever to get here :) Or come get it drive it home or trailer it back. Good luck.I require $500 deposit, by paypal, within 24 hours of the auction end. Then the entire truck must be paid for within 3 days, via wire transfer or in person.
On Aug-24-16 at 19:23:44 PDT, seller added the following information:I've been asked several questions about the AC. I bought he parts to run AC, but neveractuallygot it running. New compressor, new dryer, new condenser.I just never went to the last step. It wouldn't take much, but as I haven't hardly driven it in the last 3 years, since being in SC . . it wasn't on the to do list. If you saw my project list you would understand :) Remember, excluding the vintage modifications . . this is a 60 K mile Bronco II !!!!! How many of those are out there? And no rust? Seriously ? yes, seriously and original paint? yes in most places. I painted the hatch as the latch has scuffed the paint. These hatches are fiberglass. I paintedthefront fenders because I removed the factory badges/emblems. So those holes were welded shut and the fender was redrilled for vintage EB Bronco emblems. All you have to do is buy the emblems and install them. These are the script emblems the early Broncos had. I have more views in one day than I have EVER had for any other item, vehicles included, I have ever listed LOl It is an interesting vehicle . . BUT . bid away. Its as nice as it looks in the pics.
On Aug-24-16 at 19:44:55 PDT, seller added the following information:Exhaust . . there is a single 2 1/2" exhaust. I had a mandrel bent tailpipe made. Then I custom made the header pipes, from the Mustang manifolds, to a 2 1/2" performance muffler, which goes to the custom made 2 1/2" tailpipe. . . for those of you that care :) It's not overly loud, but has a V8 rumble when you get on it. Not loud though.
