This is a 1966 Ford Thunderbird Landau Edition with Red Leather Interior. The car was put into dry storage when the top started to crack about 10 years ago. We drained the fuel, cleaned the carburetor, installed a new fuel pump, did an oil change and started the engine.
The Thunderbird Runs and drives OK, but it should get some Love before it is put into full service. It is a good car to Drive or an EZ Restore. The paint is a faded single old single stage repaint that should buff up. There are a few paint cracks on the hood and in some of the corners of the fenders. The bumpers have some surface rust, but no dents. There is a small blister in front of the left rear tire and not one on the right. The top needs done and is rust free. There are some sun cracks on the top left of the driver’s seat and it needs some restitching. The driver’s armrest needs repair. The headliner is falling in places. Most of the electrical works as it was parked a running car. The sequential turn signals and lights work. Power seats and windows work with some wiggling of the switches and should come around with use or switch replacement. The right door vent window is loose.
The engine is a 390 CID with an automatic transmission. They were both rebuilt in 1980 and have about 50k miles on them. The paint and body work was done at the same time,
I am trying to describe this Thunderbird as accurate as possible as it was my father's and he has passed. If you have any questions and/or want any specific pictures please contact me.
