1963 Ford Farilane Ranch Wagon
1963 Ford Fairlane Description
First off let me say that I do not like selling a car sight unseen. What is nice to one person is junk to another. For that reason I prefer you come see the car or have your representative look it over. This is a 53 year old car so there will be some things that need attention. This was an Oklahoma car that made its way to Illinois in 1993 and has been garaged ever since. 1963 Ford Fairlane Ranch Wagon. Originally the car came with a 260 V8 and 2 speed automatic transmission. It now has a 289 V8 and a C4 3 speed automatic. Engine work done includes roller tip rockers, guide plates, MSD ignition, Edelbrock 600 CFM 4 barrel carb with electric choke. 9” Ford open rear end, 3:25 ratio, full dual exhaust, American Racing chrome rims with 235x60x14 RWL tires. The car has factory air conditioning but is inoperative. The following parts have been replaced over the years: Front disc brake conversion with adjustable proportioning valve (manual brakes), updated dual port master cylinder, A frames, control arms, coil springs, tie rod ends, ball joints, sway bar links, rear leaf springs, shocks, u joints, front and rear bumpers, seat covers and door panels. Also has a transmission cooler. Known problems: Klunk when shifting into reverse, noise from rear end (wheel bearing?), the car has not been aligned after putting all the new parts on, heater core is by passed so figure it is bad, radio does not work, air does not work. There are 2 scratches on windshield on drivers side. There are some small bubles on the quarters behind rear wheels (see pics) and some rust on the tail gate. The speedometer works but the odometer does not. Original invoice from Oklahoma dealer included and brochure for 63 Fairlanes. Overall this car is very solid, the floors are not pretty because they are coated in old undercoating but appear to be very good. The car runs good, starts very easy, hot or cold. I would not be afraid to drive it anywhere. I will cooperate with your shipper. Car is for sale locally so I reserve the right to end auction at any time. 500.00 Paypal deposit within 24 hours, Full payment by Certified check within one week. NOTE: Good ole Illinois DMV reversed the first two digits of the Vin. The first two should be 3K but they have it as K3. The rest of the digits are correct. Should be an easy to get corrected.
