1991 Geo Metro LSi Convertible 2-Door Description
This car is a 5-speed manual transmission that both upshifts and downshifts into all gears with no problems. It has a 54 hp, 3 cylinder engine that is in great running condition. It has had regular oil changes with fully synthetic oil. It has no discernible oil leaks.
Both seats and the doors were reupholstered, and the rug was replaced, including in the trunk. The trunk needs new struts you can get at any auto parts store. It had a Kenwood radio and speakers installed, which work fine.
The dash has some cracks in it, but has a cover. The speedometer has turned over at least once due to the vehicle's age. The tachometer doesn't always read correctly, but all the other instruments work fine.
It has no major dents. The top coat is peeling on the trunk as well as a few places on the top front on each side of the hood. It has the normal scratches and small dings due to wear and tear for a vehicle of its age. It has one little rust spot starting at the bottom underneath the door that you can see in the picture.
The convertible top mechanism lowers and raises with no problems and locks securely into place. The soft canvas top needs to be replaced. You can get them on eBay for around $200. It has a complete boot to cover the top when it is down.
The tires have a lot of life left in the tread, and it has had alloyed rims put on. It is a great little car that I wouldn't be afraid of jumping into and taking on a trip across the United States.
The car is currently registered in California, and had a new catalytic converter installed when it was last smogged.
