1993 Geo Tracker Description

Note: Due to unfortunate recent events I'm on task to pay for two memorials and to make room for other vehicles and household contents during probate. I'm selling some of my personal "needful things" all of which▬ project or otherwise▬ are in excellent mechanical condition. Many are unique and/or collectible. I'll be posting several of these things over the next few weeks so you might want to keep an eye on my auctions.
This Auction:
My 93 Geo Tracker Convertible. It runs and sounds awesome with plenty of power. Everyone falls in love with it at first site. I've been doing cosmetic body work on this bit-by-bit over the years, then touch-up spraying it and black waxing it to drive around and show off in between. This summer, I had someone lined up to paint it so I took it all apart and was in-process of finalizing the body and interior when everything came to a screeching halt. I photographed the car as-is, bodywork and all, to show you where the final spots are that will need top glazing and finish. The pink bondo bits. That's how it looks now. I will touch up the unfinished bits with some black peel coat and black wax the car for your ride home. It will then look like the "wet" photos of the car shown here. I'll also put the car back together enough to be road legal. I'm just too busy to make it a priority until the car sells.
Details:

Traction and pickup on this little 5 speed is great! Steering is true. It handles well in the snow too with weight over the rear axle. Clutch was recently rebuilt (including new cable) and shifts like butter. Plus I have another new clutch should you ever need parts. On-ramps, highways and passing are not a problem. I get good mileage too, probably 30 or better. I bought it from Kentucky because they don't salt their roads. The muffler needs redone (most parts included) but it sounds like a rice-burner as is so win/win in the meantime. Piping is included, minus a short piece of flex you'll need for the clamp up. The engine looks and runs smooth. I've replaced the radiator, front brakes, water pump, and anything else that needed done. No leaks, ticks or smoke. I replaced the injectors with performance ones. More power. Better mileage. Brake light is and always has been on but the car brakes terrific and the EB holds on a steep incline out of gear. Wear pad sensor is triggering off the rear. I hate doing shoes/springs so that needs doing. Newer rear Michelin 225's in awesome shape. Front 225's need replaced but will get you where you're going. I have two sets of rims. The winter rims (steelies) are on it now as of last week. The sport mags (aluminum slots) are ready for new tires when you're ready. They buff up nicely and all have the 4.25 concentric/hubcovers. I have 3 top configurations including a full one in great condition. Back window has UC Decal on it. One of the side windows (zipout/clear) had a 2" crack so I heat welded it and no one's noticed. Usually I drive it around like a truck and use it like one, hence the makeshift Tonneaurig with diamond plate rails and snaps. It lifts. It isn't water tight but it's pretty. The full cover is water tight. I've got a makeshift Biminisetup too, shiny black vinyl with bungies. New floor metal as needed, including roll up to bed and fuel pump cover. I've been doing body fills on it bit by bit since 2016, acetone and restorer on the grind outs, nu-metal or bondo, primer, touch up paint. I'm sure you'll find things I haven't found. Again, it's a running PROJECT. It needs a windshield (but crack isn't in view line, legal in Ohio) and I need to replace one tail light before you drive it away. I misplaced it during the current shuffling of things. I have a chrome pipe and stack for the exhaust...was going to do it up like a little Kenworth Semi, straight up the side. I have the faux leather tire cover and the chrome ring too, all the extra mag rims, plastic top trims, diamond plate runners for the snap in Taunnea, 1/4" thick bolt in back glass, frame, even an extra clutch I bought. Complete. Trackers/Sidekicks are notorious for the clutch spline fault and this is my 3rd Tracker so I was prepared. I <3 Trackers. This one was my baby. I have the passenger seat and maybe a jump seat if I can find it. Extra custom seat belts, new in box. Tons of extras, plus 2 power amps and Sony Subs (not mounted.) I've got an XM stereo for it too but I don't know if it works. I use blue tooth so never bothered. Heat is fine. I don't know about air. It's a convertible. I never used it. Cheesy vinyl interior panels have been removed. Driver inside door handle needs reattached. It's a new one. You can open the door now with the pull rod. There's so many extras I can't remember them all but you get all photo'd plus all I find. This was my project vehicle with Grandpa and that won't be happening any more, so this toy I've spent way too much time and money playing with can now be your joy. If you're bringing someone with you to pick it up, let me know ahead so I can re-bolt the passenger seat I unbolted to put in the floor pans. I'm sure I'm forgetting a million details, but this baby runs like a rocket and the wheels, clutch, and top(s) more than justify the price so I'll let the rest be an adventure for you. It's going to take some work. Give it 15-20 more hours body work. Fill every little ding if you're a perfectionist. I think rocker panels are passable for now but that's at your discretion. The hood (seemingly made of tin foil) has an on/off dent that you can pop in and out with your fist so I guess you just paint that? Buff it all with some 600-800 sanding paste. Spray it with some black one-step inside and out. Or better yet, truck bed liner inside. The world is your oyster. Go nuts! Connect all the bits and bobbles. Bam! One nice, head turning fun mobile! I'll need a few days between deposit and pickup to get the tail lights ordered and installed & to get this puppy spit-shined for you. All the lighting and electrical is fine, FYI. Windshields are $25-$50 at scrap yards, or $210 installed new by some of the national companies I've checked. I would have replaced the windshield but it hasn't been warm enough here all year. I can help you get one if they're cheaper here, but I don't know how you'd haul it home. Ask me if this car will drive to California? Yes. Round trip twice. Vehicle is being sold as is, where is.
As always, your comments, questions & knowledge are welcome here and thanks! ~Bre
