1982 GMC Other Description

You are looking at a recently refreshed 1982 GMC Caballero base model. This truck is in great condition with no rust other than the normal undercarriage surface rust. The truck was originally a light blue metallic but resprayed with a dark silver by MAACO. The interior was also a light blue but it was changed to black with new carpeting, replacement dash pad, headliner, visors and the seat and plastic colored with black vinyl spray. Brand new tires, battery, brake pads, brake shoes, wheel trim rings, hub caps, steering box, air filter, oil filter, spark plugs, plug wires, coolant overflow tank, windshield washer tank, water pump and factory air shocks in the rear. The engine is a 229 ci Chevrolet V6 rated at 110 HP. Transmission is a TH350 with a 10 bolt rear end. I believe the drive train to be original. The windows were also professionally tinted. The radio is a factory AM/FM cassette. It has the special gauge package w/tach. Tilt steering wheel, sport mirrors w/left hand remote, The truck is equipped for a tonneau cover but doesn't currently have one. (I priced one at a shop at $480 to make). Things not currently working is the A/C, cruise control and windshield washer pump. I will throw in a custom car cover with it. The truck runs great and has a smooth ride. In my opinion, it's a perfect vehicle for someone wanting to take it to the next level (V8 perhaps) but it's lovely just the way it is. The Caballero was manufactured in smaller numbers than it's cousin, the El Camino, so much rarer. I've tried to give an accurate description of this truck but 'm sure I've missed something so please email me with any questions. Thanks for looking.
