1966 GMC Other Description
The GOOD:-I am the third owner of this vehicle.-Original 4X4 drive train. Still has the 4X4 instructions on the sun visor, manual locking-Originally a Forest service vehicle, (can still see the forest service green under there)-3 speed Manual Trans indestructible and good condition, as is the transfer-case-The chassis, and drive train, axels ect are all in excellent condition as this -truck spent 45 of its 50 years in COLORADO.-GMC Chassis (fully boxed, instead of chevy's partially boxed)-Heavy duty, Dana axels, geared low, get out and walk next to it low.-4 hi and low, with granny low.-really good heads,-aluminum intake,-aluminum head covers-4 barrel eidelbrock,-ram exhaust, dual, straight-12,000 lb winch, with double fairleads-hand stitched elk leather seat covers,-original glass windshield, (i am sure someone knows the value of this?)- rubber quick washdown interior- really good tires.
The BAD:has a thrown rod bearing, truck will need to be towed
The UGLY:The body rust is from the last 5 years spent in FLORIDA. Truck is now in Florida.-the cab and doors are fair,-bed and fenders are poor,-hood is good, but a few dents and dings.- have to sell this truck, between a rock and a hard placebest way to contact me is via email.... surfallwaves at g- mail
