1972 GMC K-15 Description

Today GMC boasts about professional grade pickups, but one look at this 1972 GMC
K-15 4x4, and you realize that this lifted vintage one is where the power, poise, and strength is really where it's at.
Any 45-year-old vehicle with panels this straight is remarkable, and so to find a workman's ride in this condition is a testament to amazing care. A more recent application of Sahara Beige highlights this remarkable straightness with a clearcoat shine. That's why there's an appeal here that goes well beyond the tough 4x4 prowess. There's also is toughness within this shine. For example, that front bumper gets even brighter with the polished push bar. And the rear step-bumper holds your trailer ball. The truck bed has some tough diamond plating in the front and rear to help aid the liner paint in protecting this truck. And even the 15-inch ION wheels look particularly beefy with the Goodyear Wrangler tires.
Inside, you have a nice blend where vintage meets the right upgrades. The cloth tan bench seat is plush enough for the long haul, and it nicely coordinates with the door panels and dash for a high-quality total presentation. We love the original thin and grippy steering wheel. Beyond that is the original style gauge package for all your essential info. And because that has so much cruising appeal, there has been an upgrade to an AM/FM/CD w/remote. Plus, there's ice-cold R134a air conditioning so you can take this one out for a drive and stay comfortable whenever you want.
Under the hood is a trusty 350 cubic-inch V8. It has been dressed nicely with a ribbed air topper and matching valve covers, but since this is likely the original engine, we're glad to see no drastic alterations. It inhales deeply through a Quadrajet four-barrel carburetor, and it exhales with authority through the dual exhaust. This powerful V8 is nicely suited for 4x4 duty. The truck has a two-speed transfer case to choose the right kind of off-road work. And even when you just stay on the pavement, this GMC is also good for in-town trips, too. Power steering, power brakes (discs up front), and a three-speed automatic transmission are all great any time driving features.
This is the vintage pickup that can work and play as hard as you do and look great doing it all! It also comes with a brand new custom truck cover that's never been opened. So when you're ready to step up to a true professional grade, it's time to take this classic GMC home. Call today!
