1970 Gmc Custom, Truck, Olive Green, C10, 396, 4 speed
1970 GMC C1500 Custom Description
Here is a very sought after clean truck. This is a numbers matching, factory 396(402), 4 speed, 2 wheel drive half ton truck with factory power steering, bucket seats, center console, and a tachometer. This is one of the most original trucks you are going to find. It was originally purchased in Nebraska but spent a lot of time down south. I have some documentation that goes with the truck. It still has the factory chalk marks on the firewall along with just about all of the factory decals and stickers. The only cancer on this truck is a brace under the cab that it shown in the pictures and would be quite easy to replace. Everything else is just surface rust. All the rubber body bushings are intact and do not even appear to be cracked. The paint is quite faded as you can see in the pictures but the body itself is extremely straight. I have only found 3 dings on the entire truck. The tailgate looks like it was replaced at one time. As far as the interior goes you will not be disappointed. It is in very good shape with one small tear in corner of drivers seat. The center console is unbroken with no cracks and factory jack sticker inside. The jack is still tucked in factory location behind passenger seat. The best part of this truck is the way it runs and drives. It is literally turn key. You can jump in and go. All the electrical is in great shape and everything works including all the exterior lights and interior lights. Even the damn radio works. This truck needs nothing mechanically and it does not leave a drop of oil on the floor. It could use an exhaust. The pipe is broken after the muffler so it isn't loud but that could be addressed. Trans shifts smoothly through all the gears and engine runs how a 396 should. Lots of power! This truck is believed to have 80k actual miles and considering the condition of truck it seems reasonable. I do have a video footage of truck running. Originally I bought this truck for personal enjoyment and I was just going to have it painted but I have too many cars that need to be finished so I am thinning down the herd. Best of luck bidding. God bless
