1984 GMC Sierra 1500 Description

1984 GMC Square Body with a 5.9L 12V "P" CUMMINS TURBO DIESEL. The truck has a Turbo 400 trans with a 205 transfer case that is set up for a twin shift. The engine only has 100K miles on it,no blow by, and it doesnt smoke. It has an 88mm turbo, and the injector pump has been worked. No shortage of power. Upper and lower LED light Bars, aluminum Dick Cepek rims, 40" military tires (with some rock scarring) but plenty of tread, 8" suspension lift, and 4" of body lift for 12" lift!! Warn Lock out Hubs. Dana Axles. The body is in remarkable shape for being 33 years old, and the frame is in perfect condition. It does need the driver side rocker replaced, which I have, and it needed a new driver side door skin, which is already installed, but needs paint. There is a small dent in the tailgate, but the tail gate is not rotten and actually works. The hood, cab, bed, roof, floor, frame, and the entire running gear is all in great shape. The only rust "holes" I saw are in the front fender wells. The truck runs and drives surprisingly excellent. The 4 wheel drive works fine, the front drive shaft is off because it was being driven 100 miles each way to work for a month, and I just haven't put it back on. There is play in the steering column, assuming it just needs the tilt bearing tightened, and the rear brakes are new, but need to be bled. Buy it and drive it as it is, or use it as a base for a special project, either way where else are you going to find a Square Body in good shape with a CUMMINS!
