1972 GMC Sierra 1500 Super Custom Description

I purchased this truck in Arizona in May of 2015, and moved it to TN in 2016. It appears to have spent most of it's life in the Southwest and has very little rust. The drivetrain consists of a strong 350 with true dual exhaust and a 700R4 automatic transmission with overdrive. The top end of the motor was rebuilt in 2015 (have receipt) to get it running and driving. This is a project that needs work! It starts, runs, drives, stops, but has not been registered since I bought it and has not been more than 5 miles from my house. Do not plan to drive it home unless you happen to live within 10 miles of Chapmansboro, TN. I do have a clear Arizona title. It's cold blooded and could use some tuning. It also needs wiring completed, mainly in the rear wiring harness (new one plugged in but not ran) and the interior dash/lights/instruments. The truck was painted at some point but the grey is peeling in places revealing the original blue color. Clear coat it as is for that rat rod patina look orslap on some paint and have a reallya nice quality driver. The step-side long bed body is somewhat rare but an acquired taste for some. New or replaced parts include: new intake; rebuilt carb; ceramic coated headers; flushed radiator; fuel pump; plugs and wires; bumpers; recovered bench seat;new B&M truck megashifter; new carpet (not glued down); new weather-stripping installed; new oak lumber stained, sealed, and bolted into the bed; staggered Chevy rally wheels, wider in the back with new front tires and new-ish rears. Items that need attention: needs tuned up and/or carb work; Transmission does have a leak; rust below passenger door and below battery box;some misc body dents; brakes work and front pads are new but seem to pull; gauges need repair as only the oil pressure seems to be operational; all rear wiring to the lights needs completed; the new weather-stripping is too tight to allow the windows to roll down; one rear tire has a gash in the sidewall but it's sealed from the inside and seems fine, fan belt squeals at times. Please email questions. Again, thisis a project that needs attention. Nothing is perfect on this baby. Comes with all the partsshown in the last picture.
