1959 GMC 100 Shortbed Big back window Fleetside
1959 GMC 100 Description
I bought this from a friend of mine that bought it from a farm auction. We are both Pontiac enthusiasts. It was real easy getting side tracked from my 1970 GTO with this truck. I have really enjoyed working on it. Knowing this was the last year of the Pontiac motor and it being the year I was born, I had to have it and was planning to lower it and put white walls. My friend has his own 1959 389 Pontiac with two four barrels that is available for sale. The truck needs new bed and cab floors and more body panels. The cab floor is solid under the original seat frame. All the door regulators are in good working order, the windows roll up and down. The left vent window hinge is broken and the right lower door hinge needs some work. It does have brand new hood hinges. I've already put a couple of panels in, inexpensive and fit well, a lot easier than the ones I put in my GTO. This is why I am selling this truck so that I can get back to focus on finishing my current projects.I am assuming that this truck was a low production off the line in Pontiac, Michigan as a rare shortbed, Fleetside, with a big back window. Also the turquoise with antique white top and interior having the original lacquer green seems to be unusual. No motor and no transmission, it does have a solid frame. The roof sheet metal is in good condition, no kinks and no antenna holes. This is a hard to find project with original VIN still in place. Clean Oklahoma title. Call with questions 918-728-9779
