1986 GMC Sierra 1500 Description

This truck was a feature build on the Spike TV series “TRUCKS”

The truck is completely redone and built with only the best parts. The truck has just 2000 miles since the build. It would cost over $40,000.00 to replicate the truck.

Drivetrain

The fresh build 6.0L LSX engine was assembled by Mike Galley. It has CP Pistons, Comp Cam Grind #XR273HR, 317 heads ported by Livernois with SLP Springs with 1.85 rocks, a Edelbrock intake with a Holley HP TBI Fuel Injection System, Aeromotive Stealth Phantom In-Tank Fuel Delivery System, MSD box, Concept One Accessory Drive, Hooker Headers with 3in exhaust and Magnaflow Mufflers.

It’s cooled by a Be Cool Radiator with Dual Electric Fans. The transmission is a new GM 4L65 automatic transmission with TCI stand-alone controller. The transfer case was rebuilt. Both driveshafts are new. Both axels have new Richmond 4.11 gears and bearings. Rear has a e-locker (it does still need to be wired up). It has new power steering box and components. The truck has a new blue top optima. It has a new Master Cylinder and new drilled rotors. The truck has a new heater core and new AC system including compressor, hoses, and accumulator. This truck is very fast, drives great, sounds amazing and can be driven anywhere with no worries!

Paint and Body

The red paint was a single stage paint job and needs to be redone. I would conservatively rate it at 5.5 out of 10. There are a couple blemishes on the tailgate and one on the passengers door (nothing that can be seen more than 10ft away. I am just trying to be thorough and honest in my description). It has new front and rear bumbers. The truck has a 4in Rough Country lift, with new springs and shocks. It has new 16in Dick Cepek wheels and new Dick Cepek 285/75/16 tires. The bed has a new spray in bed liner. The truck looks great and would be at home at any show or cruise in you carry it to and would surely gather a crowd.

Interior

The gray interior is in good shape as well…it’s a 6.0 out of 10. It has a later model Silverado seat with new carpet and door panels. It has Dakota Digital gauges. The only issue inside is one crack in the upper dash pad. It also has power windows (passenger side is a little slow) and power locks. Make no mistake this truck is a beast and a looker… it’s the total package! The only things it needs to be completely is the e-locker wired up, and new paint. There was no expense spared in the build. You could take it to car shows, take it off roading or drive it daily. If you drive this truck you will buy it!!!
