1950 GMC 100 Description

Here is a 1950 GMC 100 1/2 ton pickup, ready to restore rat rod, hot rod, build as a shop truck - the possibilities are endless. It is the desirable short-bed 1/2 ton five window model with the curved corner glass. It also has the chrome grille and stainless window trim, so it is above the base model. Originally a North Dakota farm truck, so no major rust issues due to salty roads. A little rust and dent/scrape repair is in order if you want a restored truck, or it has great patina and character if you like that look.
It is basically all original, with the 228 Jimmy six cylinder engine and a 4 speed floor-shifted manual transmission (making it more rare than the generic three-on-the-tree version). A few loose parts come with it as pictured in the bed (chrome front bumper, horn, pass side visor, extra gauge cluster). Engine is not turning over at this time, but I did shoot some penetrant in each cylinder so it may free up. It rolls and steers well for transport. Glass is all there, one windshield and the center rear window are cracked. Side windows are good and roll up and down. Clear Illinois title in my name. Rare truck, ready for you to put it back on the road. Located about an hour southwest of Chicago.
