1993 GMC Yukon 2-Door 4WD
1993 GMC Yukon SL Description
Franklin Motors is proud to present this 1993 GMC Yukon SL. Yukons offer the strength and toughness of a full-size truck, but carlike comfort . It's one of the last modern cars that is completely made of solid metal. Bumper to bumper. Both the GMC Yukon and Blazer were sold together until Chevrolet rebadged and redesigned the Blazer to the Tahoe. Power is provided by a 350ci V8 backed by a 4-speed automatic transmission and 2-speed transfer case. The 5.7-liter gas V8 delivers 210 horsepower which makes hauling easy. Insta-Trac part-time 4-wheel drive allows “On-the-fly” shifting from 2WD to 4WD HI and back at any speed. Standard 4-wheel antilock brakes worked in both 2- and 4-wheel drive. Specific to the 1993 model year, the Yukon’s automatic transmission gained electronic shift controls and a second-gear start feature. The engine fan no longer engaged upon start-up which greatly reduced noise. Styling is reminiscent of the square bodies that came before it. Like mentioned above, these Yukons were made of solid metal. A full metal roof and drop-down tailgate, plus a separate, top-hinged rear window made these extremely attractive to the honest hard working American. The parts for the Yukon are also relatively cheap and easy to find. You can make it a mud truck, slam it, or keep it original. Don't like old rusty parts from a scrap yard? You can still order OEM parts from online retailers. This truck brings out the mad scientist in every gearhead. Like the sale brochures like to say "Something happens in you behind the wheel of a Suburban or Yukon, something you don't get over. You shut off the engine and step to the earth a changed person.", "After a while behind the wheel, you'll reach a vital and exuberant understanding: As a matter of fact, you do own the road. And a good bit more of the planet, as well." So what are you waiting for? The Yukon is here.
