PRICE REDUCED A SECOND TIME for quick sale!!! Don't miss out...
UPDATE #1, I will throw in the Holmes Wrecker back for free if you use Buy it Now.., offers will not include wrecker for free.
UPDATE #2, I added a picture of the floor inside the cab to the pictures. This is the cleanest floor for a original truck I have ever seen. The truck needs exhaust work, it came stock configured with a crossover pipe and one exhaust pipe. There is no muffler. I do have two new center dump manifolds from a '65 GTO that have been blasted and go with. I was going to run dual exhaust, etc. I did rebuild the carburetor and I did put in a new thermostat. Truck could use a tune up. Truck has a new battery, and battery tray.
UPDATE #3, I have added three videos to the listing. You will notice the speedometer is not working. It was disconnectedwhen the fire fighting apperatus was removed. I have driven the truck less than 5 miles since I acquired it. In the video, the temp is about 40 degrees out and truck is not fully warmed up as you can see by the choke. Also, I have 4 different big trucks and sometimes forget where reverse is becauseits different in a couple, I had to look up at the diagram to see I was going the wrong way, LOL..
UPDATE #4, Some have expressed interest in the truck without the tires and rims. For what its worth, these rims are extremely hard to find, trust me, try finding them. Anyway, I would deduct $2000.00 for the rims and tires, but I do not have any rims and tires to replace them and that would be up to the buyer. The rims are Accuride 50434 bought and used by the military. 22.5" X 7.5" wide, 6-bolt Budd, stud centered.

FOR SALE is my 1958 GMC 370-8 chassis cab. This is a ex-fire truck from a local department. I bought this truck Jan 2016.
The title is CLEAR, current and in my name, issued 01/28/2016.

The truck came with two-piece rims and 20x9 tires. I bought brand new (CARC painted military) rims and had them sand blasted and powder coated gloss black. The new rims are one piece and have 22.5 modern truck radial tires on them. New steers in from and new old stock recaps on back that have some small cracking starting. Tires have less than 2 miles on them. I have over $3000.00 in the rims and tires. I have a bunch of new parts for it from rock auto to include wheel cylinders and king pin kit, etc. They had a close out and I bought most of it. LOL.
The motor is stock and is a 336 Pontiac, which is a de-stroked 370 for this '58 model year. The '59's, used a 336 derived from the 389 Pontiac. These motors have a reverse cooling system unlike the car motors, however, a 370 V-8 would work great with a little work.
Truck drive and runs fine. Transmission shifts great and 2-speed rear works as its supposed too. Rear suspension is non-existent as there is a pile of springs back there and there needs to be some weight put on the truck.
I replaced a leaky wheel cylinder and the brake needs to be adjusted, currently drags.
I have removed the rubber floor mat and there is original paint on the floor boards, etc. I will take pictures of that area if you are interested in the truck. There is 3 holes in the roof (Gorilla tape) from lights and siren and there is two small rust holes in the cab. Again, I can send you pictures.
I will post links to videos of truck running and driving soon.
Other information,
VIN 3748PS1714F2-Speed Rear Axle Ratio 6.61-9.09
The Holmes Wrecker back serial number FC2-3548, is from 1962, and is a Model 525.It does not go with the truck and is just sitting on it for a mock up, however, can be included for an additional $1000.00. It need to be redone and has some missing parts, etc. Iwill try to answer to the best of my ability any question regards this sale.
