1979 GMC Sierra Grande Needs Restored Excellent Exterior/Interior Underbody Rust
1979 GMC Sierra 1500 Description
Our family loves this truck- I used to drive it to work about six years ago. This was passed down from our grandfather. I got another used vehicle and drove it. The truck was pulled into our pole building and kept, but it is a gravel floor and not moisture free. This truck would start every day. Letting it sit we did not occasionally start it, and it got to the point we couldn't start it at all. It's in awesome shape, really, when you look at the exterior and the age of the vehicle. The pictures were taken a few years ago and have not been updated. The truck is extremely clean, there is a small rip in the leather on the driver side. Underneath the framework is all rust. I have no doubt when started the truck would be driveable but it does need restored, and our family literally does not have the time or want to invest in the restoration process.
We think it needs a new fuel pump, and this truck would not be driveable at the moment as my brother and father could not get it to start. This was over a year or so ago. It's a beauty. There really is not much space up front as they are 2 seater bucket seats and not adjustable. I am over 6 feet tall, and drove it without problem but really if you're a bigger/taller person there isn't much room. Not sure what else to say other than there are ONLY 42,000 original, yes, ORIGINAL miles only, which is pretty amazing for a vehicle this age.
