1957 GMC GMC FACTORY V8 DELUXE trim Description

GMC Other . Condition is Used. This truck must have been ordered for speed in mind. With the big GMC (Pontiac) 347 ci V, 3 speed transmission, and I think a 2:08 rear end. Ordered in; Factory Delta Green" exterior and interior paint, deluxe custom cab trim, which gives you stainless trim, chrome window frames and wind wing frames. Chrome gauge cluster and dash trim, also ordered with factory radio (but know has a aftermarket cass.) and GMC speaker "rare", big heater, dual sun visors and exterior mirrors, and on exterior ordered chrome grill and fender emblems. The rust on this Kansas-Oklahoma truck is odd, it is in some of the typical places, and then not in all of them. Steps are bad but rockers are good. Some in front floor pans, yet solid under the seat, cab mounts on frame appear solid but on inside floor pan has some rust, but not totally gone. (Just see pictures)! Looks to still have old (original?) jack and tool.Doors hang, latch, swing great, windows all operate, glove box latches, tailgate latches, hood opens, closes and latches. Comes with an extra pair of original OEM steps off of another GM pickup. Motor sounds great, but I think it needs to have a major tune up, carb rebuild kit, change hoses and belts, plugs, wires, cap, rotor, etc. Then set vacuu, timing, dwell, float level, point ga, etc. Motor will sit and idle great, with 37 1/2 lbs oil pressure but when try to push gas pedal it starves for fuel ( Carb. accelerator pump bad?) I do have video of it running and lot driving . It may not drive up on a steep trailer ramp, just not enough fuel from carb. Also needs to be primed to start. The antifreeze is very clean and green, fuel pump seems very strong, I'm sure oil needs changed. Brakes are good, new cylinders, new fuel sending unit and hoses. 1 new tire, 3 old tires are all the same type but old. Clutch seems to be very good. Note the factory radio has been replaced with a cassette tape deck but check out the super race plate that matches curve of dash.ALSO please notice the two pictures of the gauges one running at idle 37.5 lbs of oil pressure and the one not running but gen. light is on. great oil pressure!!!!!RECAP: 347 V-8 3- speed Highway rear end Duel mirrors and sun visors Factory radio & speaker truck, RARE Blinker steering column Factory clock RARE Short bed, Header, gate & bedsides very straight Big heater with defrost Original license plate bracket & taillight guide R-T 8 Kalite Original wood in bed what's left of it
