Once again, the Jimmy is in Calgary Alberta Canada (approx 3 hrs north of Montana). Please do not ask me where it is located... Ebay does not have provision for those with multiple residences.

So, where to start.... I thought about how to write this description and realized that perhaps the best approach would be to share with you a bitabout it’s history.
From new, until about 1987, this was a company vehicle. After being privately bought, the Jimmy got a new custom front seat and had the engine exchanged in favour of a high-torque rebuilt. I think it’s a 300hp version (can't recall) but, tailored with an amazing amount of low end torque. Of course, there’s all the other things that were installed like headers, dual exhaust, and a better ignition. It also got new wheels, with 31x10.50r15 tires, and a removablecassette deck (very high tech back then). It was great. It also got a Grant GT steering wheel (funny now but, kinda prerequisite thing to do in the’80’s).
Fast forward a couple quick years to 1988. It was used to take private guests and visitors safely through the snow to see the 1988 Olympic Winter Games in Calgary Alberta. Some of the events were in Banff and at the Canmore Nordic Centre. Then in the very early’90’s, it got treated to a few modifications popular at that time. Such things as a brand new removable face cassette deck, to replace the fully removable previous unit (anyone remember those?... LOL) and Bazooka tube bass speaker in the back. It also got Alpine amplifiers put under the seats. In total, the stereo system cost $2,800... in the early '90's (lots of money back then). In addition to a 6” spring lift with quad shocks up front, quad shocks in rear, and 33” tires, it got 4.56:1 gears with lockers front and rear. This made it technically near unstoppable off-road and improved the usability and power immensely. Driveshafts were custom built new, and the front has a double CV joint. The overdrive 700R4 transmission was rebuilt with all heavy duty components. After, the Jimmy enjoyed being taken on fun adventures (hunting and fishing) by us. We always felt unstoppable and safe.
By about 1994, the red paint, with black centre insert, was looking a little dull. The whole Jimmy was treated to a full repaint. It got a new grill, brilliant new marker lights, trims, and other various pieces that were still available cheap brand new from the GM dealership back then.
I feel it may be relevant to mention THERE HAS NEVER BEEN ANY RUST.
As a sidenote, the 4.56:1 gearing works amazing with the 700R4 overdrive. If you are considering buying a lifted Jimmy or Blazer, with larger tires, you will need to ensure it has the proper gearing for the overdrive to be at all effective without lugging the engine. 4.56 gears seem steep but, let me assure you.... They work excellent. This drivetrain combination can accommodate 35" or even 37" tires if you would like. Stock gear ratios will be heck on the transmission, engine, and overall drivability.
As close as I can recall, it was sometime either in 1994 or 1995 (right after being refinished) it was parked in the garage. Only light it ever saw was through the windows and only cold draft it ever felt was when the door opened to drive the other cars in or out.
That was about 26 years ago, and that’s where it sat.... Right up until this year!!! It was started on occasion, but never moved. Last start-up was early 2000's.
Last year, we replaced the battery, put in some new fuel, and went through a proper long-term starting sequence. It fired up immediately. It runs/drives fantastic.
Effectively, and although a 1983, this Jimmy was only really ever on the road for 11 years or less. It has only 142,000 miles on the body itself. That's not terribly much, especially considering the year. All mechanicals upgraded.
There are zero issues, no leaks, and it’s as wonderful as it ever was. Because the engine was built specifically for brute torque, and the drivetrain fully matched, it's got fantastic power. It idles smoothly, with a very modest little lope, and revs quite snappy. It's a blast to drive, and you can sure feel the power.
While in the garage, the Jimmy was dusted occasionally. This wasn't great for the finish and left some swirl marks. I recently took the Jimmy to have it professionally 3-stage polished and now the paint looks better than when it was fresh and new. The compliments when we take it out are well received. It catches the light beautifully and just dazzles in the sunlight.
Since bringing the Jimmy back out, I've discovered that it hasn’t changed at all. Unlike the Jimmy however... I definitely have. It was fun to drive again, and sure brought back a LOT of wonderful memories. It’s certainly a great truck. Me, well... that's a different story; I'm not as limber to jump up into it as I once was, a bit spoiled on luxuries and, well…. Probablyjust too old for it now.
In the mid 90’s, it wasn’t terribly rare to see a nice Jimmy or Blazer. Now you hardly ever see them anymore; certainly not like this one. That said, it’s with a heavy heart we pass it to someone else to make fabulous memories and fun times with.
I'm placing this listing unreserved. My theory is, the best way to sell the 'ol Jimmy is like yanking off a band aid... quick and painless.
So, please be serious and genuine if you are bidding. I know it's just an inanimate object but, I tend to get attached.

DELIVERY:...to most states and destinations is in the $1500+ range. Please keep that in mind. Budget for at least this amount. Texas and Florida, and other far southeastern states, are obviously a bit more at minimum $2250-ish. Any required inspections, certifications, registrations, paperwork, or anything else are the buyer's responsibility. I don't know the rules in each particular state so, am selling as per Alberta rules. My wife has become pretty good at setting up shipping and, is happy to assist. Rest is up to you. Payment is by bank transfer, US account to US account. As stated, I don't ask for Paypal. Once payment is received, everything else is ready to proceed from there. I believe putting this Jimmy unreserved will easily make up for any shipping costs. Somebody is likely to get a heck of a deal.

Just a quick update.
Since last being left hanging by an insincere buyer, I changed the seats in the Jimmy. The big custom front seat was fabulous (and a bit pricey) at one time but just not as nice now as I'm used to better comforts. I ordered and took delivery of some new seats from a 1994 Suburban. They are red in colour, and in mint condition. We had them professionally installed, thinking we'd keep the Jimmy. The front bucket seats have armrests and a console in-between. The driver's seat is power adjustable! The rear seat fits perfectly, and we even had third row seating put in, complete with seatbelts! It looks absolutely amazing!!!
