1987 GMC Other Shop Truck Description

This 1987 GMC R1500 has a true shop truck look and true shop truck ability. So the ultra-cool patina paint meets fuel-injected V8 power, a rugged bed, and some of the nice upgraded pieces that you'd give to your working buddy.
The reason why we all love shop trucks is because what they represent. They're workhorses that have to be kept in tune for daily tasks. And they get rewarded along the way with some of the spare pieces left in the shop. This one represents that perfectly. After all it has the logos and scrips like a pickup that was parked in front of a service station. And the patina appearance backs up that lifetime outdoors feeling. Plus, the bed has been upgraded with a steel sheet on the floor and liner paint to make it ready to haul anything home. But the bright bumpers, LED taillights, and clean grille give it a little extra shop truck flair. And the upgrade to polished American Racing Torq Thrust wheels and the sporty lowered stance looks like the kind of thing the boys at the garage would do if they wanted to have a fun weekend project with their reliable weekday pickup.
While the exterior is a workhorse, the interior is pure leisure time. That's because the full red package is very finished. It starts with the comfy velour on the seat. In fact, this one looks clean from the carpeting to the dash pad. It also has the right features, like power windows, cup holders, and a tilt steering column that gives you a good view of the full gauge package. The radio has even been upgraded to an AM/FM/CD unit with Bluetooth. This has provisions for air conditioning (it will need servicing to blow cold again.) But your real favorite wind will happen when you open the side vent window and slide the rear glass for that kind of breeze only a classic pickup can give you.
Shops take good care of their vehicles, and so this keeps that theme going with the clean engine bay. You're looking at a hardy 350 cubic-inch V8 that is backed up by fuel injection. So this one fires up like a reliable worker should. And the very straight pipes of the glasspack dual exhaust gives this a terrific sound. The TH400 three-speed automatic transmission is the kind of stout piece that's great for real work. And the power steering and power brakes w/front discs means this one also drives with everyday ease.
So this one not only has the cool shop truck look, but also the power and features you really want. It makes for an irresistible classic GMC you need to get your hands on right now.
