1972 Honda Other Coupe Description

I am downsizing my collection and proudly offer my fun little 1972 Honda Z600 Coupe (Note: According to Tim Ming, it is a rarer 1971. The Alaska DMV has it as a 1972. I have spent the last 5 month working with Honda USA, to try and find out the real scoop, but they have no pre-Civic records, so it will stay a 1972 officially. I like to think of it as a transition car: a lowVIN serial number --2286 -- with all the markers of the 71, sold in 1972. Tim also said my paint guy re-mounted the rear bumper over riders upside down, so I have put them back right side up)

My niece and I used itin a parade this summer as the villain car to the Subaru 360 Mystery Machine you see in the background of some of the pictures, it was great fun!

The last picture is what it looked like when I picked it up. (To quote JOE VS THE VOLCANO: "Wow, what a change...")

The two-door Honda Z600 was a Kei Car designed and built by Honda and sold from 1970 to 1972, before the introduction of the Civic in 1973.
Marketed as the "sport coupe" version of the N600 "sedan", the two models were sold side by side at American motorcycle dealerships until the first standalone dealers opened with the Civic on their lots. Total production was 40,586 units.
The Z600 has power brakes, 4 wheel independent suspension and rack and pinion steering.
This Z600 runs and drives great smooth. It’s registered through November 2018.
Features:
• New windshield
• Rust repair with new metal
• New paint, with the rare factory racing stripe
• New brakes (master cylinder sleeved by “KARPS brake power”)
• Engine checked over thoroughly
• All the lights work great
• Brand new tires (stickers still on them)
• Ivory Colored shift knob (
if you don’t like it, you can get repro’s through “2Cylinderhondas” yahoo forum)
• Original spare tire
• ALASKA “PARTY” license plate
The Z600 is super fun and gets tons of positive attention (especially with the current license plate).
Symptoms of it’s age:
• Window felt channels are tired
• Seat have sun damaged vinyl, Currently “Honda” seat covers on them.
• Radio does not work (repairable)
• Steering wheel is cracked
• Cigarette lighter element is replaced with a USB power outlet
• Hood metal repaired by the hood stay

Windshield gasket is torn in a couple of places
** The Honda Z600 technical support is very good, most parts are easy to find! **

Legal Mumbo: Car is sold as is where is, with no guarantees, expressed or implied. That being written, seller has done his very best to describe the condition of the Z600. Car is for sale locally, so I may end the auction at any time.
