Amazing 1987 Honda CRX Si
1987 Honda CRX Si Description
This may be one of the nicest, if not the nicest, first gen Honda CRX Si in the country. It was owned by my brother, whose nickname was Mr. Fantastic. He's no longer with us. He built this car to be the car he had wanted, but couldn't afford as a young man.
You can see that it's never been in an accident. Only 3 owners. At the top of the chart on Autocheck score.
This is a list of what I know was done to the car in the last 2 years:
New fiberglass nose piece.Front fenders and rocker panels (the usual cracks on this Gen) expertly repaired by 30 year body man.New paint with 3 coats of clear.New window tinting.New tires.Wheels from a 2000 Honda Civic Si.Badges removed (Saved).New seats and upholstery.New carpet kit.Sun visors, shift boot and brake boot are new.Door panels are new.New bluetooth stereo with remote.Carbon Fiber shift knob.New Battery.New plugs, wires, cap & rotor.Oil (Mobil 1) and filter.Drained and refilled slush box.New hoses and radiator flush.New timing belt, tensioner and water pump.New AC belt and Alternator belt.New valve cover gasket.New door speakers.
The car has ice cold AC, aftermarket power windows, headers, dual exhaust (which sound great) and sunroof (which works perfect). Cold air intake. Has the factory spoiler. Original spare tire and tool kit. Owner's manual. The factory dash clock works. The engine is original and perfect. Great gas mileage. It runs, shifts and drives fantastic. I've taken it on several drives around town and on the freeway and it does not pull or vibrate. My brother had plans to take it on a cross country trip and I have no doubt it would do it easily. Be prepared for questions because a lot of people don't know what it is. I get waves and thumbs up whenever I drive it.
Of course, I think the car is amazing, but it is 31+ years old vehicle. There are a few squeaks here and there. In my opinion the paint is a 5 footer. I found 2 small dings (one on the hood and one on rear passenger quarter panel) both are difficult to find and see. The rear wiper motor works but it does not have a mount for the wiper blade. The are a few small spots on the bumpers that were bumped or rubbed and barely noticeable. The driver's side headlight has a small rock chip. No rust on the underside. It's a 3 owner car. Garage kept. I've done my best to describe it accurately, however please see it for yourself. No warranties on this old of a car. Sold As-Is. Buyer to pay for and arrange shipping. I will make myself available to meet shipper as needed. Message me with any questions.
Please do not bid if you don't have permission, the funds to pay, a place to park it or just good ol' common sense. Thank you!
